Catherine helped us out in three different areas of the store. In the Horror Section, at Customer Service with a pre-order and at the cash register as well. She had a great attitude and was enthusiastically invested in assisting us with our purchases. She informed us of how to become a member and accurately took my information down. She is an asset to Barnes for sure! We left smiling!

Book selection was nice and staff was friendly.Unfortunately they put anti theft tags inside of both of the manga volumes I purchased OVER THE ARTWORK. Damaged one of them removing it and since I don't have the receipt I'm just out of luck. Didn't find one blocking any paragraphs in the novel I got but I haven't read the whole thing so there could be one I missed flipping through. Or I could have just gotten lucky.Someone in corporate or whatever is more interested in keeping things from being stolen than in those things being readable, so I would not shop here without being very careful about what you are buying and the state it is in.

Always has a great selection and has an amazing rewards program. I always feel welcomed when I enter and (more often than not) find a new book.

Drove down from North Westminster for a book that was out of stock everywhere else. Store was closed 30 minutes early. No sign on the door regarding early closure, just the regular store hours of 8pm. Doors locked at 7:30pm. No update to hours on Google listings. Just a locked door without a notice and a waste of time

I went in for help with my Nook. The staff were very accommodating. I also enjoyed a treat at the coffee bar while waiting for the Nook battery to charge...the blueberry scone was yummy!

I am a magazine person and this Barnes & Noble seems to have better stock and control over their magazines compared to others

Five stars for the B&N book store! They have a massive collection of books and I love the fact they still carry magazines. Although I wish they'd rename the outdated "women's interest" area to "fashion" or similar. The coffee shop has its pros and cons. I enjoy sitting down to peruse a magazine over a coffee. The coffee quality and service leaves a little to be desired though. I was excited, however, to finally see they offer a gluten friendly cookie - after all of these years! I was mystified as to why they have them smack bang in the middle of the display cabinet, right next to all of the gluten-containing bakery items. These need to be kept separate so there's no cross contamination.

Got a new special edition in store and ordered the pervious book through this store. The process was really smooth, Luke was really attentive when taking my information and checking me out.

Very pretty and comfortable atmosphere-- hell, there's even a coffee bar. They are overpriced- but that's the nature of brick and mortar stores. The real problem with B&N store is buying online-- JUST DON'T DO IT! Especially textbooks! Buy them anywhere else. They will put every rule they can in place to keep you from returning them. They will find a reason. This time (yes, while I was standing at the B&N counter) they told me I would have to return them by mail after I called the 1-800 number! Now this would be hilarious if it wasn't so ridiculous and sad. They said it was because I ordered them as a "pre-order" or some garbage like that. Um... no. I ordered them just like normal off of your stupid website-- which, trust me... I will never do again. I feel sorry for the sales staff having to quote these ancient return policies to their customers. We have computers, barcodes, trucks and everything now, people!! These are really bad business practices. Get a mitt and get in the game, Barnes & Noble! You need to at least attempt to compete with Amazon, or you'll be closing like Bed Bath & Beyond
