The staff is pleasant enough, sure, but ultimately its deeds that matter. And this place is awful. From botched medical procedures by unqualified volunteers (which they put more effort into avoiding taking any accountability than making things even somewhat right) to being the most pro-kill shelter ive ever encountered, this place just aint doin it right. A friend had nowhere to bring his dog and they said theyd find him a home, but never even put him up on the website, and within a day or so left him with the option to either find him another home or be put down. The staff is all friendly and agreeable but the way they ultimately accomplish things is truly twisted.

I love to visit local animal shelters when I am traveling, just to see what is out there. I promise you this was hands down the nicest I have ever visited. They had an amazing selection of "second hand dogs", the price for adoption was a lot higher than what I normally see. I hope the beautiful babies all find loving homes.

Man, I took my dog there, to turn over for the Arvada Courts. These people were AMAZING in allowing me time with my dog. He was part of the family, and we'll miss him dearly. The staff there, was INCREDIBLY caring & sympathetic to our situation and only would proceed when I was ready.

We've adopted one animal from here and the process was very easy. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Although it was busy when we went so the wait time for "meet and greets" with our animals from home and the walkways were pretty cramped. Their vet team missed a tumor in our dogs leg which ended up being cancer. Wasn't the fault of the workers though. (Here's our girl, she's fine and we're getting her the proper care she needs.)

We adopted two kittens this Fall. It was a very busy Saturday afternoon, yet the staff was patient and helpful. One of the kittens had a problem, but the staff (particularly Chelsey, Kate and Jessie) were extremely helpful responding very quickly and coming up with good solutions. Thank you for all you have done. We appreciate you and FAS.

Went in to a really clean easy to navigate building where we were met immediately with help. Then we got to visit the cats and immediately fell in love with a lil 2 year old cat. The adoption process is pretty easy and they talk you through everything. Plus the animals are vaccinated and spayed/neutered with proof, comes with a month of pet insurance (good company too), a free vet visit voucher, a microchip, vet places to go, and they’ll answer any questions you have. All the workers were super friendly and really want the best for the animals. Chris is the kennel attendant who was helping us and he is so good with the costumers and animals!! You can tell the people that work here enjoy what they do. Thanks for everything, I’m sure I’ll be seeing you again.

I was rejected as an adopter by a private nonprofit shelter simply because I had a pet door. I felt like crying because it took me two visits to make a decision on one cat before I applied to adopt. Foothills was just as caring, as clean as the nonprofit but they put us humans first, Foothills makes us feel like we are essential for cats and dogs to find forever homes with love and affection. No judgement. I’m in love.

Got my dog from Foothills when they had their 50% off deal on dogs 1 year and older. They gave us a free vet visit, free bag of dog food, and 30 days insurance. I think all of their dogs are spayed/neutered and micro chipped! Definitely a good shelter to adopt from
