I recently had a true hair emergency as I accidentally gave myself a chop that went horrendously wrong- Joe Dirt mullet status and it was as bad as it could get (LEAVE IT TO THE PROS PEOPLE). I was able to book an appointment with Katie and was at the salon in 20 minutes. Katie absolutely worked MAGIC and literally saved my life, did a cut and some color as I told her to do absolutely whatever she thinks will save the wreckage I did. She nailed it and I couldn’t have asked for a better stylist to bring me back to life!!!! Helped me see the vision as I wasn’t picturing myself going from very long hair to a short style that day but boy am I glad Katie took the reins and gave me the cutest cut I could have asked for. Perfect for summer and I am actually obsessed and glad the worst case scenario turned into the best with Katie’s expertise! Highly highly recommend this salon and Katie! 🫶🏼

Sheila does my sugaring treatments. She has been doing them for over a year and she is amazing! Sugaring far surpasses waxing and she is the best in the business

Lily is such a great owner. It's always so nice to see Champ greeting you when you arrive. Katrina has been my stylist since last fall. She has helped me go through crazy colors and when my hair got fried by pool chemicals. She recently dyed my hair to a cherry cola color and I get non stop compliments. Always recommend this salon. Seriously great and knowledgeable staff and they're always super friendly.

Unfortunately we will not be coming back. Katie was very nice but did a terrible job cutting my kids hair. She spent 10minutes with my daughter. Cut a small section in the back, didn’t trim the front. Didn’t style it. Left it full of knots. Then dumped a bunch of glitter and hairspray on top of her head that got all over my house. She asked if I was okay with it. I thought it would be just a bit. I couldn’t believe how much she put on. Not hair glitter, actual glitter! And sprayed a ton of hairspray over the glitter and knots.
Then She spent only 15 minutes with my son. Talked us out of shampooing. We asked for a trim, and told her we both like it long. She chopped it! My son was in tears. I encouraged him and said its hair, it’ll grow back. But the cut itself is terrible; he looks like he’s wearing a helmet.
Hate writing bad reviews about local small businesses. But I just would never go back to Katie. We’ve been there before and had good experiences. When we were got there, another kid, same age, was getting her haircut. She got hers washed and was still getting hers cut while both my kids were done well before her. We had 2 appointments back to back, left there in 30 minutes. Spent $70.
I should have read the reviews, because it has been an issue with this stylist in the past.
I called the salon, and got their voicemail, and no one has called me back.

I had the pleasure of getting my hair done with Katrina! She is the girl as I picked a color combo that was a bit challenging but she took it on and did an outstanding job! I appreciate her patience in doing it as it took a bit to get it done. Highly recommend her!

I got a haircut here at the end of December with Katie. She was okay, but not very personable. What made this a 2 star experience was Katie assuming she knew what was best for me and my hair despite just having met me. She took off a ton of volume from my beautiful, thick hair without asking. And unfortunately, it has not grown out the same since. This stylist did not make me feel comfortable in her chair. I won’t be returning and I caution anyone with thick hair considering getting their hair done with her.

My sister and I found this place online and scheduled an appointment for our mother. Katrina was amazing and did a great job. She was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. I highly recommend this location and her. Thank you Golden Roots for a wonderful experience.

I’ve been a big fan of Golden Roots salon for maybe 8 years? I remembered when they first opened and I thought “FINALLY!” A nice salon where I can relax while getting this hair freshened up. I worked with Lilly, the owner, religiously with my pixie cut for years. She bent over backward to get me in some days! Yesterday I went in for a birthday haircut with Jess who has been laying my now long hair for over a year. She squeezed me in for my birthday while she had another client with a longer process going on! These gals have great customer service if you aren’t an asshole. I have also bought many products from them and love the smell. When you open the door, you aren’t hit with that chemical blast to your nasal cavity. I also love the local decorations you can buy from local artists. Great idea and esthetic!

Had a haircut with Alexa and she is amazing and a true artist! She really took her time with my hair and giving it great texture. I can tell she has a real passion for the art of hair. I will definitely be going back to her and could not recommend her enough! Lovely person too and just enjoyed my time talking to her and being in the salon.
