“I love the main guy that runs this place.... He's always working it seems, but even when he's not, whoever is working is his place, they are always kind and helpful. I love doing business with people that deserve patrons, and I'm happy to recommend his store to others. He does shut down a bit earlier than some stores, but he usually stays open until at least 10:00.
Go in there and wrap with them about the Beatles; you'll see how friendly and personable he is!”

“Definitely try and get here when it opens! We watched from the top floor as it got more crowded and would have been a bit of a turn off for us if we arrived after lunch. Arriving as it opened allowed us to get IDed and receive our drinking/dining card right away. The card is linked to your credit card and you tap it for your food, self-pours, and merch and then drop it off on your way out. EASY! We had amazing chicken sandwiches with an Asian flare, sours/beers, and spicy margaritas. Everything was so good! As time went on, the downstairs outdoor area was packed with dogs, strollers, and kids coming in from soccer games. It looked loud and chaotic though everyone down there looked to be enjoying themselves. Upstairs was busy enough, but a bit more quiet. The view was of Clear Creek, a local park, and North and South Table Mountain. Would definitely return.”
“This place is literally been here for the almost 40 years that I've been aware of it and obviously they're doing something right It's nice simple quick convenient liquor store It's in a kind of quieter spot of applewood and certainly more than far enough away from filner's and Apple jacks that it is highly relevant for it being exactly where it is. As a result it being there pretty much my whole life I wouldn't doubt if it ends up staying there for the rest of my life a true sign of a well established and exceptionally well run business.”
“Located at nice and clean place , the price of everything is really nice than other store around that area, great selection of rare wines, whiskey and the working staff are really friendly and energetic, big and easy parking space .... “For a smaller liquor store it has a great selection. It's on my way home from work so I stop regularly. They have offered to get me handles of my favorite whiskey, Woodford reserve because I had asked if it was possible. Great customer service every time and a friendly conversation.”
“Convenient to the Eddy Taproom and Hotel and the freeway, this locally owned shop has a decent enough selection for most anyone. The prices are a 'little' more than others, but being so close to the hotel and freeway I'd expect to pay a little extra. Still can't understand this town's fascination with tequila! Must be the college kids ...”
“This store is such an amazing mom and pop family owned liquor store. The service is amazing and they are always so kind to their regulars. Laura always makes my day better. They also have a great selection anywhere from an after work drink, to a nice celebration with friends. I'd definitely recommend here. Please keep the family businesses in golden alive.”

“I've been shopping here for about 5 years. The shop is small but has a good selection of reds, whites, and hard liquors. The owner is friendly and helpful. I was impressed by the safety measures the owner put in place during Covid (sanitized pens, he wore n95 and had mask-required sign, and had plenty of hand sanitizer for the customers). The location is perfect as it's next to Safeway amongst other business.”
