I had a bit of a wait but everybody was so helpful! I was having difficulties with billing my insurance but they were totally committed to figuring it out and working within my means. Thanks so much to the entire pharmacy team! I did not get all of their names but the pharmacist was Lara and she was great.

The pharmacists and techs are helpful even when there’s a long line and you can tell they’re having an exhausting shift. Meds got filled within 6 hours of a doc sending them over. Make sure you book an appointment for vaccines/shots to guarantee availability of a pharmacist. If you’re a Mines student, this is definitely the closest pharmacy. The Telehealth option from the health center can write scripts directly to Safeway’s pharmacy which is convenient. I think the campus health center can also send prescriptions to be filled here.

9/28 around 6pm, I stopped in to get a covid test as one of my kiddos was not feeling well. Not wanted to look all over for the covid tests, I excused myself for interrupting his evening and asked the pharmacist where the covid tests were located. He looked up, and appeared extremely annoyed.He mentioned that they were right there. Not understanding what he meant. I stepped back to get a bigger picture, then talking to me like I was severely stupid, he sneered, “no RIGHT THERE.”There are many things wrong with medicine, but a little kindness to someone who is looking for some help without being overly condescending and rude would be a good place to start.

Laura and others at this pharmacy are very friendly and willing to research the best pricing on things. Much better experience than dealing with Walgreens.

We had to change insurance companies at the beginning of the year. We had a prescription called in a few months ago and the doctor said they called it in but the pharmacy said they never received it. Honestly, we assumed it was the doctor that didn’t call it in. But—we’ve now changed insurance companies and doctors and the prescription didn’t show up again. The common denominator—this pharmacy. We are tired of standing in line to find out our meds aren’t filled. There seems to be a glitch in the system. Luckily, this time, wasn’t anything major (inhaler) but the first time, my husband was really sick and needed cold medicine.

This pertains to the pharmacy at Safeway in Golden, CO. Although most people at this store are nice, the pharmacist by the name of "Cal" is always so vitriolic and couldn't care less about helping customers with their pharmacy needs. He will let you wait and wait while watching you for quite some time when you are in line without acknowledging that you are there. Also, they never have your prescriptions ready and never tell you in advance (via text or phone) if they can't fill your prescription. This past time my prescription was called in on the 8th and it's the 27th and finally he has it ready to be picked up. He is also very condescending towards customers and I refuse to go back to this Safeway now because of his callous behavior.

All the staff at the Golden Safeway: the pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, workers on the floor, the checkers, and the management are always kind, helpful, and knowledgeable.

The pharmacy was amazing. Sick with covid, trying to find a Paxlovid rx, they had it, called king soopers pharmacy to transfer it, brought it out to my car along with complimentary face masks. After being treated rudely at king soopers, Safeway is now my preferred pharmacy.
