The USPS office on Johnson Road in Golden, Colorado is truly one of the best! The employees here are super friendly, it’s always clean… and the service is consistently top-notch. Whether you’re dropping off mail, picking up a package, or even applying for a passport, the team here goes above and beyond to make the experience smooth and pleasant. Highly recommend this location for all your postal needs!

I currently have a package that has been out for delivery since july 26th. Spoke to someone on the phone surprisingly someone actually answered. She was so rude to me and informed me she does not have the time to look for the package. Sometimes they fall and get tossed in the trash because they don't have time deal with them. EXCUSE ME, YOU WHAT?! I put a call into the 1800 usps number, a very nice man who seemed genuinely concerned wrote down my complaint and Sarah the manager of the Golden po calls us on a sunday night and is so very rude and unhelpful. Again we are told packages are thrown away all the time. Or my label was too destroyed. We'll it clearly wasnt destroyed enough to be scanned for arrival at the post office and scanned for out delivery. So I have put a call into usps inspections because sarah clearly wants her post office to continue to be a joke. As I type this, I had a package out for delivery today and now it is at a usps facility in a DIFFERENT ZIP CODE with delivery date unknown. What the heck, it was at the Golden post office and out for delivery today how is it somewhere else now?? What are they doing at this post office. This isn't the first time we have had issues either. A month ago they were sending all my fiances packages back to sender. He has lived here for 2 years. Did a change of address the day he moved in and one day our mail carrier just decided nevermind he doesn't live here. It was so nice that they returned his truck registration and tags back to sender so we had to pay for replacements. I really hope something changes. I now have changed my shipping address to my parents house now because I do not trust that anything will show up. I should be able to trust my local postal service. Unfortunately that is not the case here in Golden, Colorado.

This office has started delivering mail for Evergreen. I’ve called many times to resolve issues and they do not answer their phones ever. Packages are frequently marked as delivered when they haven’t been. This office is far from my home so I cannot pop in there every time there is an issue. Why is the postal service so awful in Evergreen/Golden? I’ve never had issues in other locations where I have lived.

One package intercepted and rerouted, post office say the shipper asked for it. Shipper denies it. I am out the money, have to dispute it in my account. Finally get funds back but cannot order from national vendor again after 25 years of doing so. Tried with a different vendor, same item. Paid for signature required and my signature was forged and proof of delivery says I received it. I was at work. Vendor says it was delivered and you signed for it. Too bad. Coincidence? Same item two issues. Disputed with Vendor , went to post office twice left info no calls, filled out complaint online-no response. How can they sign your name? Say they handed it to you? What is the point of signature required then? Very upset and genuinely sad. I have always had such great relationships with my mail carriers but I cant excuse forgery.

After attempting to send off invitations, I was told by a lady at the front desk that all the invitations would need a second stamp so they could be “hand canceled.” I obliged and bought $100 worth of additional stamps to put on each envelope so they could be hand cancelled. However, I received a handful of invitations returned back, which had all been machine fed cancelled. When I went back to the post office to ask the same exact lady why she told me that they need to be hand canceled, but then we’re fed through the machine she said, and I quote, “we just don’t have time.” I then asked well then “why did you make me put a second stamp on each envelope? If you were just going to machine feed them anyway?” To which she said that “maybe I should not have tried to send such a thick envelope.” When I asked why there was such a laziness and not providing the service that I paid for she just kept telling me that I shouldn’t have tried to send such thick envelopes… even though I paid for them appropriately.
The fact this post office does not provide the service you pay for is just absolutely LAZINESS by definition!

I am extremely disappointed with the service I’ve received. It has now been over two and a half weeks since I dropped off my package at the self-service slot, and there is still no record of its whereabouts. Despite multiple attempts to contact USPS representatives and providing my reference number, I have received no meaningful assistance or resolution.
During my most recent visit, I spoke with the sole clerk at the front kiosk, who was overwhelmed with at least four other customers waiting. After I inquired about my package, she left to check and did not return for nearly 10 minutes—only to come back empty-handed, offering no explanation or accountability. I wasn’t even directly informed that the package was lost; I had to piece that together myself.
This level of negligence and lack of communication is completely unacceptable. I entrusted USPS with my package and expected at the very least some transparency and effort in resolving the issue. Instead, I’ve been met with indifference and confusion.
I will be contacting a manager directly to formally escalate this matter. I expect this situation to be taken seriously and for someone to finally take ownership of resolving it.

Why is this office closed? I have an international package there that is not qualified for redelivery. I am being told I must pick it up before 5/17 or it is being sent back (to Germany). What are you doing with everyones possession's?
