I had an unusually difficult return to ship: a roughly 120-pound patio table that needed a very large custom box. After striking out at several other locations, I called the Highlands Ranch FedEx Office on Saturday and spoke with Haley. She immediately took ownership of the problem.

Haley called multiple FedEx locations trying to track down both the materials and the personnel needed to build the custom box. She found that some stores had the materials but not the staff to fabricate it, while others had the staff but not the materials. Rather than sending me somewhere else to keep figuring it out myself, she worked through the problem and told me that if I could get the table to her store Saturday, they could have the custom packaging completed Sunday.

When I arrived, my makeshift packaging hadn’t survived the trip, so the team helped me unload the table piece by piece. They kept me updated on Sunday while they worked on it, and when I returned that evening, the custom box was finished and ready to go.

Even getting the enormous finished package back into my Tesla was a challenge, but Haley and the team stayed with me, helped maneuver it into the car, and Haley even found a small bungee cord with hooks so I could secure it for the drive home.

FedEx picked it up successfully Monday, ending what had been a massive logistical headache.

I really want to recognize Haley specifically. She could easily have told me they didn’t have what I needed and sent me on my way. Instead, she made calls, coordinated a solution, communicated with me throughout the weekend, and personally helped make sure I could get the package home safely. That level of ownership and customer service is rare and deserves recognition.
