I love this Walgreens pharmacy! The staff are knowledgeable and as helpful as possible. Over the 4th of July holiday, I was struggling to find documentation of my kid's discontinued insurance (he was covered through his dad and we are divorced). I went to the pharmacy and asked if I could take a photo of his prescription that said coverage was denied, and the technician on staff worked with her team to find the official documentation I needed through their system. On a holiday! I am so grateful, and this extra level of service is something I've encountered multiple times with them. I know that insurance issues can make people very frustrated at the pharmacy counter, and I've seen the staff get cursed at and verbally abused for things that were out of their control. They've handled situations like this professionally and with dignity. It's a great pharmacy!

Pharmacy is refusing to dispense covid vaccines to people who meet CDC guidelines, including a second location refusing to serve 65+ elderly, who according to the CDC are explicitly told to get a second spring dose.

*This review is regarding what happened over the past week, but came to a conclusion today at this location's pharmacy.
*However, it should be noted that as someone who has had severe health issues for years, thus a lot of medications, I have found all Walgreen Pharmacies (at least in the front range area of Colorado) to be a shell of anything efficient or reasonable.
*The only reason I give 2 stars is because if you transfer in established prescriptions, and use the browser to check on them and not the app, and you need nothing else, you can get along ok.
Long story short, my son was prescribed a new medication. The doc first put in a week's worth, but Walgreens notified them that my insurance wouldn't allow less than 30 days. Then the doc wrote a new script, and then Walgreens came back saying my insurance was needing a new Pre-Auth for the 30 day. Fine, they did that. - THIS IS ALL PERFECTLY NORMAL, PART OF THE GAME- Just keep in mind there are plenty of calls/communications going back and forth between myself, the doc, and Walgreens over a little less than a week.
Yesterday, they say they have everything both to me and in another call with the doc office. I then get an email, a text, and an automated call letting me know that the medicine is out of stock but is ordered. Cut to just now when one of the pharmacy employees calls me to tell me that Walgreens does not carry the med at all. They cannot order it. The person on the phone is nonchalant, flat, offers no apology for the time wasted while my child is waiting to get on this medication. When I ask if this person has any recommendations, I'm told no but does offer the most insightful suggestion: "Look around"
I am not mad that they don't carry the product. That is fine. I am however pissed that they made me and the doc jump through hoops and ran stuff by my insurance without stopping once and going, "Hmmmm, do we even carry this?" How absolutely asinine of a system does @Walgreens have that this pivotal bit of info isn't there in the pre-auth O.O.O. since if someone has to change pharmacies, often there will need to be a new script sent? Or, is it no one in this location was taught to look? IDK. The tone of the call I just received that it probably doesn't matter to anyone there anyways.

Talked to pharmacist early in day about a specific need related to a prescription. Went to pick it up and the pharmacist on site would not fill the prescription per the doctor’s orders and per agreement of staff present earlier in the day. Traveling out of country without the medication my daughter may need tomorrow.

Send a prescription to the pharmacy and they were supposed to text me when it’s ready in 20minutes. No txt for over an hour so revisited there but they’re closed during the normal business hour without any explanation.

The whole pharmacy was positive and helpful getting the vaccine ready quickly for my needlephobic children. Andrew the pharmacy operation manager was very supportive of my struggles getting my 9 year old wrangled for his shot. Thank you, thank you, thank you

We drove here after I called the store and asked to speak to a pharmacist to determine if they do walk-in COVID tests. When we arrived they told us they only do appointments. They said that the call would have been through a call center but I explicitly asked during the call if the store was busy. Frustrating.

Has proven on multiple occasions and inability to process photo orders in a timely manner or even answer the phone. Put some staff in the store

Wow!!! Truly amazing people that work here. Every single one of them that I encountered this evening made my entire experience incredible from the gentleman who works in the pharmacy to the gal that works in the pharmacy with him. They were amazing. There was a gentleman who came in who was being belligerent and I'm sure he was intoxicated or on something I don't know. Anyways, they handled it so kind and professionally. It was very impressive then when I got up to the register after picking up my prescription that they worked diligently on to get out to me right away because of a UTI and severe pain. The lady's name was Wendy and she was completely kind, up beat and positive. It is very nice to experience this type of interaction in today's society. I really appreciate their professionalism and kindness. Thanks guys!

Amy is very pretty, she’s very friendly and constantly talks about her beautiful, amazing, great child. She’s always willing to help me no matter the issue. Also the hobos are a problem, they are constantly harassing customers and I feel the store is in need of a security guard.
