“Great customer service.Rooms: It is historic, so keep that in mind!!!No elevators here. No telephones in the rooms. The rooms definitely have heat, so that's a plus. No tubs in the room. No breakfast included, no hot tubs or pools. Small rooms for sure. No microwave or fridge.Nearby activities: Outdoor activities near by and you are able to drive to most activities.Safety: No safes in the rooms. But definitely felt safe at this hotel.Walkability: Excellent location. You are able to walk to mostly everything in town.Food & drinks: No water provided for quests.There is a bar and restaurant in the hotel that is phenomenal!Noteworthy details: The parking is NOT at the location.”

“Very nice place. Super convenient. You aren't camping in the woods, but the views are awesome.2018 update: Here again for the eight time. Love the place. It's under new ownership and Ryan is the caretaker. Reservations are more organized and things seem to be improving.2022 update: it's mostly tiny houses now. Camping is probably coming to an end soon.”

“Our ski club stayed here, 52 of us. Like being here, owners are excellent, and the price is good. They have sold their business and will move on at the end of March 2024.What happens next to this lodge is not known.”
“I took a little solo trip with my dog to Leadville and I was so so grateful to have found The Freight! It was such a relaxing little cabin and I loved how close of a walk it was to the Main Street. I stayed in the Georgia cabin and it was so cute & extremely clean. Will definitely stay again this summer!Rooms: Super cozy and cleanNearby activities: Hiking, train ride, shopping, food, skiingSafety: Felt completely safeWalkability: Super close to cafes, shops, and restaurantsFood & drinks: The chocolates and electrolyte drinks were so nice!”
