I was formerly customer in past and not the same anymore.I went there with my new Right CV Axle Shaft to replacement. They don't do that anymore. then. I asked them for a price. they won't do it and ask for inspection first for charge. I'm not gonna pay for inspection that I didn't ask for. They won't give me a price.that's insane and unacceptable their service. I'm not gonna back anymore for being unfriendly to deaf people and not helpful II suggest you go find other place better than Dakota Ridge Auto

Been going here for years. Awesome staff, shuttle service, free car wash and they take the time to explain car repairs I'm not familiar with so I understand. I love these people!

Apologies this is so long.... but I feel like it is 100% necessary. Would give this 0 stars if I could. My partner took her vehicle in for an oil change. Before performing the oil change, they did a multipoint vehicle inspection, and told her she needs ~$6K in repairs. Ridiculous. Then they tried to tell her "well, if you take it to a jiffy lube or some other type of inexpensive place, you don't always get the best service and care". She has only ever taken it to a Jeep dealership before lol The only reason we tried this place was because we could not get into the jeep dealer before a road trip (and this place does have a lot of good reviews so I definitively was surprised with the care/service they extended to her). So, after we decide to only get the oil changed & coolant repaired (because there was a crack in it & did in fact need to be repaired ASAP), she immediately started having problems, other than the short drive home from their shop. We live very close to Dakota Ridge & she did not have to get on the highway so we are not sure if speed made a difference? Because the problem began on the highway. But a few days after the repair, she drove to work for the first time (she only works in the the office 1-2 days/week). She called me as soon as she made it saying her car was acting very strange, like the transmission was acting up. On her way home from work, she had more issues... SHE LITERALLY HAD TO THROW HER CAR IN PARK TO GET IT TO STOP. THE BRAKE WAS NOT RESPONDING. We contacted our insurance & tried to get it towed immediately to the jeep dealer. Unfortunately, we had to schedule the appt a week in advance and had to tow the car back to our home. When we finally got the report back from Jeep, we contacted Dakota Ridge. They had us send in the information & video evidence. Jeep found a yellow sponge lodged in the intake that was causing the issue. See pics. The jeep dealer said there was no way that could have got in there organically. I blotched out the link information because I don't want people having access to our personal information. TJ, of Dakota Ridge Auto, called my girlfriend back & tried to throw the blame on her. They also asked her why we didn't take it back to them to have it inspected.... I thought it was pretty logical to think that we would not ever go back to the place that idk... PUT MY PARTNER'S LIFE IN DANGER. Again, she literally had to throw her car into park to get her vehicle to stop. The brake did not respond. The only reason we reached back out to Dakota is because we were hoping they would take some responsibility and cover the repair bill from Jeep - but nope! It was a little more than $550. To an auto shop, that is nothing... I am sure this review will get reported and taken down but that is why I will be screenshotting this review as soon as I post it so I can repost it whenever I feel like it. You know... maybe we were just really unlucky but holy TJ... her car went into your shop & came out with a faulty throttle response system that could have ended with her and others being seriously hurt or worse. So yeah, I think we'll pass on this place. My partner is way too nice to publicly put this out there but I don't care one bit. I am not even one to leave reviews... but man this whole thing was outright ridiculous.

Don’t be fooled by the small but quaint establishment tucked away, these guys here have done amazing work on my Dodge Charger on five separate occasions. Whether it’s an oil change or installing an exhaust system on my car, they’ve done a fantastic job. Fair prices as well. You pay for the quality of work, and you’ll find that here. They do anything here from your typical repairs to welding tips or changing your fluid. Nothing but good things to say, and they give you free popcorn when it’s all said and done. Shoutout to Travis!

I can't say enough good things about Dakota Ridge Auto. On two separate occasions, as I was passing through town, they provided professional, timely, and helpful service. In fact, they were able to identify the cause of a nagging problem that my home mechanic had been giving me the runaround about for over a year. They are in honest shop that knows how to treat people right -- and they have justifiably earned my highest recommendation and rating.Services: Steering & suspension repair

I brought my Subaru svx in to hopefully fix my leaking brakes, and they were able to locate the leak and do a full inspection on what else needed to be addressed on the car which I really appreciated. They got my brakes to actually stop the car and they also got the stupid check engine light to stop flashing at me all the time bahaha. Super nice people:)Service: Brakes

Dakota Ridge did a $1500 repair on my Ram Pickup about 26-months ago. They pitched a 48-month, 50,000 mile warranty with a nationwide network of repair facilities. The problem they "fixed" has returned and now they're telling me that they can't help since I am 2,000 miles away and they would need to diagnose the problem. I was also told that I needed to have the vehicle inspected annually for the warranty to apply. That requirement was never mentioned and does not appear anywhere on my paperwork.

Had an oil leak on my car. I was expecting the worst, but after Aaron checked it out, I had some transmission fluid leaking due to a dealer who overfilled it.I had expected a major repair, but instead fixing the leak cost less than $100 for diagnosis and adjustment. You can trust Dakota Ridge to take care of problems at a great price.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have been using Dakota Ridge for years. Never had an issue with them, ever. I referred a friend who had a major issue with the suspension of her car that rendered the car undrive-able. Within a day or two, the Dakota Ridge team had her up and running safely. They have always taken care of me. They once recommended I get a new Tahoe if I could based on all of the repairs that were needed on my old one. they turned down the opportunity to make $7,500 dollars to help me make the best decision for my family. They just want their customers to be successful and set up with what they need. They look out for you, not just their bottom line.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement

Have gotten multiple cars serviced here for several years. Recently, had a car in for a routine oil change. After getting the car back, the oil service reminder in the car was not reset nor was the new oil service sticker put on my windshield. A few days later, I checked the engine bay to do some routine maintenance items I do on my own and noticed a sizeable mouse nest right next to the air filter compartment. All of these issues combined have questioned how much work was actually done on the car as its pretty clear the engine wasn't inspected. The mouse nest was in a place that you would have had to have seen it if you looked anywhere in the engine bay. Resetting the oil service reminder and putting a sticker on the windshield are the first things you do after servicing the vehicle. I hope that the oil was changed, but I can't be sure based on this.I did go in to speak with the shop to address these complaints. Only response I got was that they'll speak to the service tech. No effort or remorse to address these issues.Beyond these issues, the "extras" that you get on the inspection are priced so outrageously. For example, a cabin air filter which costs $10 to replace and less than 5 minutes to complete gets quoted at over $70. I ignored it as these are things I do on my own as they're super cheap and simple to do. It would be nice and honest to quote these items at a reasonable rate as this is taking advantage of others who may not know the true cost of these services.

I see why they have a two point star rating here and I'm not sure why I didn't check this out before I went there and had them work on my car. I emailed them before I went in and ask them how much it would be for a synthetic oil change on my Lexus, they responded back $80. This was supposed to include having the fluids filled, a car wash, and a full inspection. my fluid, for my windshield wipers was never filled, I never got the car wash and not to mention now I have my trap door for the oil change hanging down because it was never secured in place. When I went to check out they did not want to honor the price that I was initially told when I emailed them, After I inquired about what I was quoted the owner/manager CJ reluctantly agreed and made me feel super uncomfortable about it. I am super disappointed in my experience, I called to try to see if something could be done considering now I have a piece of plastic, dragging every time I drive because they did not sufficiently work on my car correctly, he told me he would pay for the damages and replace it, but the only way he would compensate me for my time and horrible experience was if I spent $700 for them to install new spark plugs. No thank you, I don't like being taken advantage of by mechanic shops because of a woman, I would never recommend this company to anyone and I can see why their ratings are as low as they are. Have someone who actually knows how to work with people deal with your customer service and continue working on cars partially in the process. I plan on reaching out to my attorney for the damages that have been caused my car, this is one of the worst experience I've ever had added oil change place. I would never let these people touch my car again. They do not honor their word, and they have bad business practices. Not to mention, they left the trap door for my oil change unhinged, and it was dragging under my car for about two weeks before I figured out what it was. When I called the owner, he was super condescending and basically told me that it was fine that my trap door was left open. There were no fluids in my car and they didn't include the car wash coupon or honor the price that they initially stated when I reached out to them via email. After I complained, they did honor the price, but were very rude about it and definitely did not make me ever want to return. I would not recommend this business, and I would definitely never go here again. Their craftsmanship is spotty and the owner thinks his business is the best but in reality it's ran poorly and the communication sucks. As a consolation prize, the owner offered me a free oil change. If I spent $700 for spark plugs, no thanks I think I'll take my business elsewhere. Customer service goes a long way and you won't find that here.

Dakota Ridge Auto was a lifesaver. They were able to work me in to their schedule the week of Christmas and get my car fixed in time for the holiday travel. They were professional and caring, they answered all of my questions and kept me up to date with the progress. Would recommend them and plan on using them in the future.Service: Brakes

My vehicle maintenance schedule calls for a coolant flush every five years. AFAIK my coolant is 11.5 years old. I went to Dakota Ridge Auto and got the most genuinely honest and friendly service I can ever remember receiving. But they said my coolant was fine and refused to flush it. OK, but I still want the flush anyway. So now I'm trying to decide whether I should go somewhere else or just do it myself. I wish they told me when I scheduled an appointment for a coolant flush that they only perform them if they judge, in their opinion, that it is necessary.Where I come from it's called "preventative maintenace." Replacing something *before* it goes bad.

my windshield washer was not working. Dakota Ridge found the bproblem and ordered the necessary repair parts on January 02, and told me I could use the car the rest of the day. Next morning I delievered the car back and left it for repair. I had a family member pick me up. Later that day, Dakota Ridge personnel picked me up at home and took me to their store! The bill was exactly what they stated! Service was outstanding! I STRONGLY recommend Dakota Ridge Auto for ALL your vehicle service needs! Great people and outstanding service. 5 Stars!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance
