I completely understand that retail stores need to address and mange shoplifting. In an effort to do this, DSW has now started holding one shoe in the back and only putting out the matching pair on display. In order to try on both shoes, you have to get an employee to go in the back, find the match and bring it out to you. Again, I understand their need to mitigate theft. Not a problem. My 3-star review has to do with the attitude of the staff about this policy. It’s as if they don’t think you should need or want to try on both shoes. They came across as put out or bothered by the multiple requests to find the match so we could try them on. They seemed to be avoiding us, using their headsets to communicate and make us wait till we, like an old PacMan game, cornered them in an aisle. If management is going to make these decisions, then it’s on them to communicate to staff to embrace that this policy actually makes it more challenging for customers to buy shoes there , and the staff should HELP customers rather than adopting a snarky attitude about this inconvenience.

I was looking at shoes close to closing time this evening and Julia Was straightening the shoes And she stopped what she was doing to help me find the right pair for me, even though It was only 15 minutes before closing time. She was very friendly and helpful

Return policy is for 90 days as long as you don't actually wear the shoes outside. Doesn't cover defective workmanship after wearing a few times.

I didn't want to go to Park Meadows, but I got something delivered that needed to be returned , I was told that I had no choice but to go to the brick and morder store, they did take care of me after a long wait but I still think they could have resolved my issue on line, what if I was remote and I was looking at 1 or 2 hour drive to go to the physical store

HUGE selection of shoes and there is always some kind of sale. Even if there isn't a sale, ask them for a discount.

Great variety, but don't carry women's shoes in wide widths.

Nice shoe selection, but rarely have my size (women's 9). My suggestion is if you need shoes for an occasion, go there weeks in advance because you will most likely have to order from warehouse or another store and have shipped. Otherwise, you'll find something you'll love there.

Did you know that the average price of a pair of men's athletic sneakers at DSW is now $109? I didn't. I found some Skeechers for $84. Signed up for the club for 20% off and pretty much ended up paying $75.

Selection is pretty good, but I do feel that the shoes they get have at least one issue with them and that's how they can discount them so much. I tried on several pairs and each had something odd about them, ie. the tongue was creased and rubbed weird, one shoe was slightly larger than the other, colors weren't exactly the same, etc. If you can find a pair that doesn't have an issue, I think it's a good deal. Otherwise, you are picking through to find something that works.

Great selection, they had a lot of sizes in stock.I wish there were mens shoes that were under the $65 mark but I get it's hard to price things like that these days. Not a ton of sales people on the floor but I didn't need any help.Overall, I was happy with my visit, my son got what he needed and was happy.
