Cheap(does the minimum amount of work required) and bad at communication. Went in to get hail damage fixed and they missed places. I was instructed over the phone by the the mechanic to say that “no further work needed to be done” so he didn’t get punished on their internal algorithm or whatever. Turned out to be a mistake. Was going to bring it back to have the spots that got missed addressed at another time while we got approval from insurance to get parts swapped out. I waited two months to hear back for when parts were delivered, nothing. Call them and they were able to get me scheduled despite the women up front seeming to have no idea how to work the computer on both visits. I drive through the snow only to hear that a small portion of the trim that I thought was going to be entirely replaced is getting swapped, and one of the cameras housing are getting swapped. If I wasn’t forced to come here because of my car model, I wouldn’t.

Brandon was exceptional. He was an excellent technician for my Tesla...the car was perfect in looks and the way it ran. In addition, he was easy to work with, responded as much as he could to delays that complicated my deadlines, and gave such a positive impression of Allstar Ideal that I want to come back if, heaven forbid, I need the services of car repair again.

Upon first pick up the body lines where off some a 1/4 inch or more, paint chips from install, dirt in clear coat, over spray and missed damage. Schedule to bring back, dropped car off went over all the issues and was told they would address and make it same or better then new. Upon second pick up body lines good, more paint issues and a part still missing. Told them this did not meet my expectations and their response ( by the GM this is the best they can do sorry it not up to my expectations). I was taken back by that response and cleaned out the rental and came back to talk with Gm says they should offer some sort of compensation. She said she had to get that approved by her boss. The next day they said it was not allowed and I should go after my insurence for compensation. Total fail stay away.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with CarStar that I wouldn’t wish on anyone. It took several emails and numerous phone calls just to get an initial response from them. After finally hearing back, it took them close to three months to even schedule my vehicle for repairs.
Just when I thought the nightmare was about to end, they called me three days before my scheduled drop-off to reschedule because they supposedly had too many cars at their shop. I firmly believe they forgot to order my parts, and this last-minute call was their way of covering up their mistake.
The lack of communication, the excessive delays, and the overall horrible customer service made this one of the worst experiences I've ever had with an auto repair shop. I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. CarStar is not worth the hassle.
