Run far away. We had the unfortunate circumstance of Red Rocks receiving our 2nd mortgage. So we're barely banking with them, and they're incredibly incompetent. I would never trust them with my actual money. They have a ridiculous low daily limit ($2k); who has a mortgage payment below that amount in Colorado (lucky ducks!)??? Therefore I have two separate auto-pays scheduled each month. I spaced them a 3-4 days apart so they wouldn't land on the same day in case they're rescheduled. EVERY month RRCU reschedules one or both of them, and then they end up landing on the same day and hitting the max limit resulting in me "not paying" my full mortgage amount. Every month I get a rude call from them saying I didn't pay... and every month I have to explain to them that they mucked it up. Every month they say "oops, sorry about that. We'll stop changing your autopay dates... we'll assign someone specifically to ensure that doesn't happen again". It's been 5 months of that. I'm hopeful that this bank goes under and/or they sell off my mortgage so I no longer have to deal with their extreme incompetence.

We have been members for over 25 years and I cannot say enough about how wonderful the support is from our Red Rocks team! Just got off the phone with Tabitha in card services and in fewer than 5 minutes, she had answered my questions and resolved my issue. She was polite, professional and pleasant. These are the qualities I associate with the entire group. Thanks Tabitha and Red Rocks!

After roughly 23 years we have closed our Red Rocks Credit Union account. Over the years Red Rocks has gone increasingly down hill. About a month before our complete withdrawal, I attempted three or four times to contact Red Rocks by phone to ask several simple questions. Every call was picked up by an out of state call center--not Red Rocks. Despite promises to have a Red Rocks employee return the calls, no one ever did. Frustrated, several messages were sent to Red Rocks directly through their on-line banking system within our account. Incredulously, neither message was responded to a month later. That straw broke the camel's back and I went in and explained to the person in charge at the branch why we were closing our account. She promised to pass our concerns up to line and have someone call. To their credit someone unaware the account was closed called to ask if we needed help with our on-line banking--nothing more. This is no way to run a financial institution!

Terrible customer service. We refinanced our auto loan through them and they added an extra $2,000 to our loan balance and refused to explain why.

I heard about this place on the radio and decided to apply for a loan. At first, I heard from them everyday with updates and what my next steps were. I sent all my information in and it's now been over a month. I've called, emailed, reached out to customer support, and he ignored every email, never returned my call and customer support would say they would get in touch with him. Today I tried twice to call him and finally reached him. He asked if he could call me back in 5 minutes and never called me back. Very poor customer service. All I wanted was an update and I couldn't even get that. Unfortunately I will be looking for a different bank to help me out.

Unfortunately, I have seen Red Rocks go down hill in that past few years after banking with them for over 10. You can tell their operations are in shambles and that there are not the correct steps being taken to correct this. I would not suggest keeping any money here as they will charge you more fees than any other financial institution. This bank went so far as to continue to take money from my account and charge additional fees (in an absurd amount) even after I closed the account. Their operations are absolutely unethical. I have since gone to Navy Federal with no issues. I would suggest looking elsewhere for your banking needs.

3rd party ATM machine ate my debt card…four hours from home (in Snowmass). Randi Anderson and Austin BENT OVER BACKWARDS to make sure I wasn’t stuck without resources. (They saved me from driving 4 hours each way to get a new card.) They worked on a solution WITHOUT ME EVEN KNOWING. Rock. Stars. Overall customer service is worse than any big corporate bank. Which you would think would be different because they’re a credit union. I recently transferred all of my automatic payments and direct deposit to chase. I forgot my gym membership. It overdrew my account which is fine I called the gym and corrected my billing info. However I received a call from Red Rocks asking when I was going to bring my account to a positive balance? Like when I come to close my account this week? I work a 9-5 too? Just think it’s crazy they take the time out of their day and are getting paid to make calls to customers to ask when they’re going to bring their account balance positive, when they don’t have atms or branches everywhere? Have already planned to close the account. Just don’t recommend this credit union. I’d try a different one or chase is my favorite.
