I used to have a five-star review for this place. "New review "I went into this safeway today and the manager on duty Dean was extremely rude to me. Although the first employee that was rude to me was the employee I walked up to said hello I said, how are you doing today? Hey, would you please mind getting me some customer service to the liquor department and that person not even looking at me or acknowledging that I exist , then walking away to make the intercom announcement without saying hello being polite in any way shape or form. Then when Dean came over he was flippant and arrogant the whole entire time he talked over me. Tried to yell over me at one point and acted like a complete donkey.

The WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered my groceries for pickup 28 hours in advance. They were not ready on time, or even within the hour. Then was told by customer service that the pickup time is simply a suggestion, not when the order will the ready. The customer service agent was EXTREMELY disrespectful towards me, and was not helpful in the slightest. They also wouldn't let me cancel my order, keeping my money and groceries. I would've been better off eating my arm, than ordering from them. Safeway, you had a customer that recommended you to everyone. I will be doing the opposite, quite enthusiastically, from now on. Do better.

That is a very nice Safeway grocery store. When you pull up to it you wouldn't recognize that it was a grocery store at all if it didn't have a big Safeway sign up on top! My husband said it nice but I didn't believe him. I was wrong. Even the inside was brand new and very clean looking. It was a very big store which I myself don't favor because I just spend more time than I need to grocery shopping. The one thing I absolutely loved was they had my favorite yogurt in more flavors than I've ever seen any grocery store carry at once. I bought them all. Thank you Safeway!

So the closing cashier or possible "manager/P.i.C" named Paige has the most rude and condescending attitude that I've EVER come across in a grocery store. I made sure to be kind and apologize for checking out a large order worth $250 at 1030pm near closing... And instead of be inviting or pleasant, this chick was so uncaring and submissive.
That didn't bother me as much though, as much as when she raised her voice at me because I couldn't hear her question, it shocked me but I didn't cause a scene and saw that the customer behind me also had a big order so I remained calm but she had my blood boiling. And at the end when I still used manners and asked for $20 cash back, she basically tossed me the money on the check writing ledge and my faced was extremely shocked but I still got out of the way. I know the security guard saw it and the young guy who helped me bag but I didn't want public displays of anger to waste anyone's time. It just disgusts me because I know Safeway upholds a better customer service standard then what I experienced last Saturday night.
Then to make matters worse this cashier named Paige overcharged me twice for the same item, seven generation dish soap that was supposed to be 50%, if she was not hating every second of her job she would have paid attention to the costly mistake.
I would NOT recommend going here at all. Unless you enjoy employees treating you so disrespectfully. Yikes. I rather go to the highlands ranch store a few miles west on Broadway even though it's smaller.

Seriously, you would have thought considering king sooper's is on strike that would have gave Safeways A moment to generate more customers..... Well guess what....when there's fifteen people in line at the delhi Counter And 2 snail-like Delhi staff snailing....I guess you miss the mark

Is it possible that your cashiers could be ANY SLOWER than they are now?! This is why I never come here. It’s like 1955 all over again.

This morning, I stopped at the store across the street only to fine that once again, they are on strike. Needing to get things right away, I stopped in at this Safeway. Oh my, I walked into a bright and beautiful floral department that set the tone for the whole store. I have not seen a store this neat, tidy, inviting and organized in quite some time. The store across the street is messy, old, tired and always cluttered. I felt to happy to just be in such a bright and cheery place. I quickly found what I needed and was on my way. I will be a customer forever. Back in December, I needed a turkey, and I could not have been more pleased with how they went above and beyond to find me an organic turkey.
I am sold. Please keep up the great work of having such a beautiful store.
