Just buy tools at harbor freight or go to Arapahoe. I spent 2 hours at 2 different locations. Both had tools. Neither could rent them to me due to missing parts or faulty credit card readers. Tool rental should save time. People at the counter were super helpful, professional, and apologetic. The problem is higher up.

I had flooring installed in my rental condo just over 3 months ago. Everything was handled through the Home Depot location in Littleton, Colorado and could not be more disappointed. Two transition strips are now coming up from the subfloor. One is lifting in the bedroom doorway, starting at the side with the door hinges (translation: It would be very hard to "abuse" this section of the transition strip enough to cause it to lift). The other section is near the front door, against the wall behind the door. I called Home Solutions, Home Depot's installation division or 3rd party installers, and Jenny, the Home Solutions rep, advised that they do not warranty work performed in rental units. I explained their team installed the floor just over 3 months ago and surely these repairs should be covered. Jenny advised that renters don't take care of things they way that actual owners do, thus, Home Solutions doesn't warranty their work in rentals. I checked the purchase and installation paperwork and the warranty section DOES NOT exclude rental units. In fact, terms relative to rentals (e.g., tenant, rental, non-owner, renter, etc.) are not mentioned anywhere, including in the (extensive) warranty paragraph which spells out a one-year warranty. Jenny said she'd reach out to the Littleton Home Depot store and ask them to call me. Christine from this Home Depot location called the next morning and advised any repairs would cost $150 because Home Solutions would not honor the warranty. I had always viewed Home Depot as a leader in their field and an organization that treated their customers as though they were valued. In this case, however, it appears both Home Depot and Home Solutions are hiding behind an unpublished, undisclosed (non-existent?) policy in order to avoid standing behind their very very recent work. Home Depot is traded on the NYSE and is valued at over $324 billion (yes, with a B). They really can't afford to stand behind their work in my rental unit??

Ordered a cabinet remodel and flooring remodel end of January beginning of February. Cabinets came in as expected March 23rd in put in my daughters LR, HD then took to April 26th to demo the kitchen. Flooring was delivered into the LR as well on May 9th. By June 9th after almost 6 weeks of NO kitchen and 3 months of a LR full of cabinets and flooring I got rid of them. They were most gracious to refund install changes but didn't care a bit that it was taking so long and that she didn't have a kitchen for 6 weeks. I asked them two pick up some of the GC charges to install since HD could not deliver, then they insulted me with a $500 credit and stated it was my fault because i cancelled the install! I turned it down and let them know i would let everyone know how terrible their customer experience turned out.

Rug Doctor Carpet Shampooer. DON'T WASTE your time or money. Rental price was very reasonable. Bought the recommended shampoo product. Followed the instructions precisely. We have no pets or major stains - only normal foot traffic. The machine DID NOT clean the carpet and it did not remove the liquid/shampoo/dirt. Basically dirty water in the carpet. It took us forever using microfiber towels to try to get the liquid out of our carpet. It was beyond exhausting. Left our fans & AC running all night and some areas were still damp after 12 hours. And our carpets are still dirty.Consider another method. Equipment is nothing like it used to be and worthless. Wasted time and cash.

Customer service here is atrocious!! I ordered a $1500 air compressor for my shop, Home Depot knocked it over and broke it, then had a bad attitude about making it right... An employee named "silver" was the worst, but a few employees had more important things to do, such as stocking items instead of helping me.

Going to home Depot is hit or miss, sometimes I find what I need, sometimes not. The employees are not very social and interacting with them makes me feel as if im disturbing them from an important task, even though they are just walking around. One employee actually had the unmitigated gall to correct my speech when I was asking for assistance in finding something. I was however able to find what I needed and self check out wasnt too horribly bad, so not bad overall.

Particularly one employee, I didn't want to give one star, but after checking out (our cashier was a doll) but the lady working the self checkout decided to take it upon herself to come over and lecture myself and the cashier on putting plastic bags on the plants we purchased. Politely letting her know it was ok and that we had to hurry, she continued her unwanted lecture and proceeded to reprimand me and rudely advise me she was some sort of plant aficionado. Ps. Littleton Home Depot, customers don't like being lectured and treated like imbeciles, weird I know.. Merry Christmas, thanks for the experience.. Also, plants are doing great.

Today my cook top and wall oven were supposed to be installed. Imagine my surprise to find out that the wall oven is too big for the opening. I have emails documenting my correspondence with Ryan, "kitchen designer" who said what I was ordering was perfect for the cabinetry we'd ordered. Not only is the opening NOT big enough, the actual cabinetry will need to be modified by over 12 inches to allow for the double oven I ordered...and cannot get a refund for. Additionally, I ordered a gas cooktop and there was to be a drawer underneath. Again, per my correspondence with Ryan, I ordered the cooktop with the assurance that I'd have a working drawer underneath (which I'd paid for). Well, guess what...I'm going to have to make my drawer a false front. I do not understand how a "kitchen designer" could make these mistakes. NOTHING has gone right with this kitchen and I believe Home Depot is responsible. This could have been avoided. So now, my contractor has to modify my very expensive cabinet to allow my oven to be installed AND I have a non-useable drawer. These are egregious errors for which I'm going to have to pay. I won't even mention the third party they use for delivery. Oh, and they won't install double ovens or cooktops. Awesome...that's another $300 for EACH appliance. Do your research...and double check everything. Criminal.

Ok...this is just for the person who took the time to fix the issue I had. Yelp is a good tool for all of us to share our experience...I have a chance to be positive so, in fairness to Home Depot. I truly forgot the issue ( my 100.00 plus spreader I ordered never arrived, I only figured they had charged me when I got asked to review the item, then I realized I had paid for a spreader I never got...I have ordered from HD before and they ship seperate), just thought I was out 100.00 plus dollars...that's the direction it went....now, a few months later I get a text saying someone just had seen my complaint and is looking into it if it was still an issue... I texted back yes, he stated ...on it....week or two went by then I get a text asking if they can deliver the spreader. Now, again...this is one member that I comment about....the Yelp reviews say you have a problem in the store...when folks go to Yelp they are angry... meaning you did not do enough to keep them off of Yelp....do you get it? Like the military discount....like just helping (ref Yelp)...Home Depot has always been a place folks complain about having to much help...if folks have to look for help, then something is wrong. Truly I thought twice about Leaving a positive, but your one person did something, fixed something...I applaud this. So, thanks for finding the issue and fixing it. Now, I have security cameras every place in and around my home...I can send you the delivery footage if you wish...but it's fixed....I did not want to tell you I had proof of not receiving the item....that's why I am impressed by your actions.

Asked for help three times for making keys (won't let you use the machine without an associate login). They said an associate would be by to help. After waiting 20 minutes, we left without any keys.

there is an Asst manager named Jordan who is clearly lacking in any empathy or sympathy and instead of trying to help a customer he acts irritated and attacks the customer with a measured voice. I have allready complained about him to regional management. . He is horrible and shouldn't be in a managerial position.

BOUGHT A REALLY EXPENSIVE DOOR. DOOR SHOWS UP BROKEN. SECOND ORDER... BROKEN. HE PUTS IT BACK ON TRUCK THEN CANCELS ORDER. But then again hey look at the Home Depot location it's absolutes sleezeville in that shopping village. People don't care the businesses don't care, it's probably the worst side of town that you could try to find any business. Not to say that all Home Depot's don't suck because they all do but this area I would avoid for any transaction. They had no apologies about the door. I laughed and said I hope they unionize!

Jill in the customer service desk was amazing. It was annoying how I had three other employees in the plumbing department blow me off when I asked for help. So I really appreciated Jill customer service. She helped me in Plumbing a and tool and help and different customer at the same time with tools and batteries. Thank you again. You deserve a Holmer award.

Long review so stick w me. Spent a lot of money on new cabinets and granite countertops and the install (Home Depot subcontractor-Prestige Home Improvements). All smiles from salesman before I paid for project (required up front payment). Promised I would be happy...not so much unfortunately. Old house that has 'wavy' ceilings which were not accurately measured by cabinet rep or installer (who I have to believe has run into that issue multiple times). I Ordered cabinets to the ceiling which revealed a 3/4" gap at one end but flush at other end. Contractor solution was to "caulk it". The better solution would have been to note the ceiling issue during measurement and offer the alternative to not use cabinets to the ceiling thus the 3/4" gap wouldn't be nearly as obvious. Neither Home Depot or their contractor (who installs cabinets every day) let me know it could be a problem and after the job nothing was done to remedy the problem (other than the 'caulking' solution). HD offered a partial cash rebate but not nearly what it will cost me. It was clearly a mistake by HD and/or the HD contractor which apparently is now my problem. Be forewarned they're are not as good as they would have you believe and they refused to correct what was clearly their mistake. I'll be shopping Lowes from now on.

I actually dread coming to the store because the customer service at the customer service desk is so rude. There is a lady who works in customer service, I believe her name is Sandy. She consistently talks down to customers. I'll actually go out of my way from now on to not have to be spoken to in such a manner.
