It was fairly priced and they were very thorough. The doctors are all very informed when it comes to dental issues, which we have had issues finding good dental work for our dogs in the past. I couldn’t be more happy to have them as our regular vet ”

“Great people who know what they are doing. We took my dog here for years before her passing in 2021, and they were very respectful and empathetic through the process. We had somebody come to the house to lay her to rest, and they handled her ashes. They are very understanding of your grief, and treat you with immense care through the whole thing. My other dog will continue to come here for vaccinations and checkups. Their doctors give you all options for your pet, and weighs them based on your wallet and your pets needs.”

“Had a fabulous experience here. Exactly the kind of personalized care I’ve wanted for my kitties. The entire staff is amazing and you can tell how well they work together. They use the fear free approach which is wonderful for kitties. Both the tech and vet got down on my kitties level and held out their hand and called her name, gave her some scratches before picking her up and getting in her space. Something I think is so important for cats.They also have a heating pad on the table, toys and treats. Also love that both times I’ve been there we were the only ones so no overbooking like Ive experienced at other practices. The only thing I’m not over the moon about is the fact you’re restricted to using their pharmacy which is a bit pricier, I like having choices so I can choose the lowest price especially having multiple pets with health issues.Otherwise highly recommend this practice.”

“We've been using SouthPark Animal Clinic since we moved to the area, early 2020. I've had great experiences with all of the vets but currently our pets see Dr. Sharkey. I've had only the best of experiences with her and her staff, specifically to call out Jennifer and Hannah as well. They're caring and helpful and always answer my millions of questions. Dr. Sharkey is kind, genuine, and caring to our pets, gives full explanation of lab results and any follow-up/monitoring needed. She spends time answering questions and follows-up if anything is needed outside of what's discussed during exams. I would recommend anyone bring their pets here! For reference, we have two dogs and one cat.”

“Our dog has a health issue that has no clear treatment plan and outcome. She's almost 9 years old making the decision tougher since she may be nearing the end of her life even if she did not have this problem.We took her to a different vet last year and all they did was push expensive tests and surgery even though there was little hope it would extend her life. They also pushed us toward an oncologist without asking if we wanted our dog to go through extreme treatments. The bill was almost double what the vet told me. The worst part was they took our dog into the back without us and isolated us from her until it was time to leave. Tough on her and us. I left there feeling worse than before I went there and knew I would never go back. I only went there because they are close to our house in the Roxborough area.This time we went to Redstone and saw Dr. Downie where we never left our dog's side except for a minute or two when they took her blood. She listened to our concerns and was very clear about the options and the likely outcome. We are unlikely to do extraordinarily things to extend her life a short time. Dr. Downie understood and respected that. Our dog has lived with this condition for many years so it's possible she will be okay for several more years without surgery and chemotherapy.In the end Dr. Downie recommended a few medications and so far our dog is back to normal. She's eating again and as playful as she was before. We'll see how she responds and decide how to proceed with Dr. Downie's help.”

“The appointment was easy I dropped Hammy off at 10 a.m and went to another doctor for me, the vet said they would call with updated info and see if I had any questions. I had not heard from them so I called and talked to the Dr who was attending to Hammy. I was able to pick him up and he is doing fine. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. Hammy is not camera shy so here is another shot.”
