“My wife and I had such a good time at the first ever blues jam on Wednesday nights! I just moved here and have been keeping an eye on what was going on in the music scene in Longmont especially. II saw two sets of local musicians assimilate into the new room to host blues players from all over. Special commendations to the blues band from the usual Monday night jams at a neighborhood place for smoothly moving in to a much more visible room to host musicians. And, the sound system was amazingly clear. I will be a regular because it was great music and great camaraderie. Cheers G.”

“We LOVE the Aspen Center! There is such a great sense of community, and I really appreciate how my toddler gets to go out and explore the nearby downtown sites like the park and library with his teachers. The staff are all fantastic. I would highly recommend the Aspen Center to anyone looking for a safe, loving environment for your little one.”

“I can’t even begin to express my gratitude to those of the Safe Shelter of St. Vrain. This place truly saved my life. Before I got there, I was in a very toxic and abusive relationship.. I knew I needed to get out for the sake of myself and kids, but I also had 2 pups that I couldn’t just leave. This place took in all 5 of us, giving me, my kids and our dogs a safe place. Once we were there, they gave us time to decompress and eventually helped us navigate a path for a better future.

It’s been about 8 months since we moved out, they were able to help us get a housing voucher and we are happier and healthier than we have been in years.

I would always tell them, “you guys and this place truly saved me.” They would respond with, “you saved yourself, we just gave you a safe place to do so.” I still don’t know who is right, but I do know that I am so blessed and so humbled.

Thank you Safe Shelter of St. Vrain ♥️”

“I had such a genuinely positive experience at Goodwill that I felt like it deserved a shoutout. From the moment I walked in, the store felt clean, organized, and surprisingly easy to navigate—definitely not the chaotic treasure hunt you sometimes expect. The staff were friendly without being overbearing, and you could tell they actually cared about keeping the place welcoming.

What really stood out was the variety. I found a mix of unique pieces, name-brand items, and even a few things that still had tags on them—all at prices that made it feel like I was getting away with something. It’s that perfect balance of affordability and unexpected finds that keeps you browsing longer than you planned.

At checkout, the employee was warm and engaging, which made the experience feel even more personal. It wasn’t just a transaction—it felt like supporting something meaningful. Knowing that your purchase contributes to a larger mission makes the whole experience that much better.

Definitely one of the better thrift store visits I’ve had—already looking forward to going back.”
