When I came to her, I was just two weeks away from my wedding and completely heartbroken. My wedding dress had already been altered elsewhere, and the alterations had gone terribly wrong. The bodice had essentially been deconstructed and rebuilt incorrectly, leaving me convinced the dress I had fallen in love with was beyond saving. I had already started shopping for a replacement because I truly didn’t believe it could be fixed.

Then I met Tatyana.

She took one look at my dress, calmly assured me she could help, and immediately gave me hope. She even came in on her day off to meet with me because of my timeline.

What she accomplished still amazes me.

She had to undo someone else’s work before she could even begin making the proper alterations. She essentially reconstructed the bodice, reshaped everything, improved the fit, and somehow transformed a dress I had given up on into the dress I had dreamed of wearing on my wedding day.

All of this happened with less than two weeks before my wedding.

Not only did she take on an incredibly difficult project that many seamstresses probably would have declined, but she completed it in about a week so I wouldn’t have to worry heading into my wedding.

Throughout the entire process, Tatyana was patient, compassionate, encouraging, and incredibly skilled. She listened, explained what she was doing, never made me feel like my concerns were unreasonable, and genuinely cared about making sure I felt beautiful.

Wedding dresses aren’t just pieces of fabric… they’re emotional. When I walked into her shop, I felt defeated. When I walked out after my final fitting, I finally felt excited to get married in my dress.

“I have passed this store so many times and actually lived in Masonville when I was a kid, but I had never gone in until today with my kids. So much to love. An awesome mix of rustic/novelty/boutique/and edible curiosities and classic gift shop staples, as well as road trip supplies and cold drinks. Very unique site with a lot of character and history.
