“We drove the 70 miles from Steamboat Springs to The Lodge for lunch and saw some of the most impressive leaf turning ever. The last 40 miles are on unpaved roads but they were well maintained. We had the cheese sandwich and the pulled pork sandwich and they were both very good and filling. But the highlight of our lunch was the fabulous peach pie, homemade, serviced hot, with ice cream. It was so good that we bought a whole pie to take home. The rustic restaurant and the fresh mountain air adds to the ambience. This was a day trip for us that we will always remember.”

“The rooms are nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff are incredible! After travelling around the country for work for a decade, I have never experienced such friendly and helpful service. Absolutely unmatched. One of my employees experienced an emergency at a work site and they made every effort to help in any way they could when we made it back to the hotel. Huge thanks to the White River Inn! This place is a hidden gem in northwest Colorado.”

“Rooms were great and the highlight was the attached restaurant…it was raining and we didn’t want to take our motorbikes out, so we tried it and totally and pleasantly surprised. We had the chicken wings and pizza. The wings were delicious but the pizza was outstanding. It was baked on flatbread and was loaded with toppings . Who knew? The restaurant doesn’t even really show up on Google Maps or Yelp (?)”
