Nice area with areas to rinse off the sand. Great picnic spots all around. Informational posters are a bit washed out from sun damage.

I never get tired of visiting the Great Sand Dunes National Park and I've lived here all my life! 60 years! ❤️

Parking lot is relatively far from the base of the sand dunes. Sand will be everywhere so wear shoes/sandals you don't mind getting sandy. Plenty of parking is available. There are no hard paths, so mobility can be difficult if differently-abled or injured.
