Cascade Falls Park offers a picturesque and easily accessible waterfall experience in Ouray, Colorado. The Lower Cascade Falls trail is a short hike of around a quarter-mile from the parking area, leading to the base of the final waterfall in a series of seven. The falls carry snowmelt off the Ouray Amphitheater and down into the town, providing a stunning natural backdrop. The trailhead starts at a parking area on the east end of Eighth Avenue, with a covered shelter offering views of the falls. Visitors can choose to simply enjoy the falls from the parking lot or continue on the Ouray Perimeter Trail for a longer hike. The trail is suitable for both kids and dogs, offering a lovely nature experience within walking distance of historic downtown Ouray. While the waterfall may not be as spectacular during certain times of the year, the overall experience is still enjoyable. The trail is steep and rocky towards the end, so visitors are advised to hike slowly, rest, and stay hydrated, especially if they are not accustomed to the high elevation. The stunning rock formations behind the falls and the beautiful views of the town make Cascade Falls Park a must-visit destination in Ouray.
Great place to visit! The waterfalls are a very short walk away, but there are longer trails around if you feel like hiking more. This includes a trail that leads up to a path that takes you directly under the waterfall - it's a little bit scary, and involves some crouching under overhangs - but is well worth the effort.

Water is always flowing of the mountain. Great to home and snap a few photos.

Nice short hike right off of the parking lot. For those that do bot want to walk up to the falls, there is covered benches just off the parking lot where you can enjoy the view.
