The company was founded in 1968 as a proprietorship to sell propane and service gas appliances in Colorado Front Range communities near Conifer, Evergreen, Bailey and Pine. In 1974 it was incorporated as Action Gas Inc. Also in 1974 the owners acquired Independent Gas Company of Granby, selling propane to residential customers in Grand County. The trade name of Independent Propane Company was adopted in 1996. This web site is used by these two Colorado Corporations. We have been proudly serving the Front Range Mountain Communities of Colorado since 1968 including Conifer, Bailey, Evergreen, Granby and Pine. We have been using Independent Propane for over 2 years. We have a mountain home, not super easy to get to. They’ve always been reliable. We needed our tank refilled last minute (my fault not theirs) and they were able to get someone out same day. Thank you so much to George and crew the best!
