I grew up across the street at 1702 cedar. Great neighborhood and surrounding community-based organizations that have been around Bessemer for quite some time.

Our experience as a family here at Minnequa Elementary so far for the 2015/16 year with the Kindergarten team and 1st grade team has been pretty dynamic! The whole administration team is awesome.

About Minnequa Elementary School
Nestled in the heart of the historic Bessemer neighborhood, Minnequa Elementary has grown along with its generations of students, dating all the way back to 1902.
With a rich history behind it, today's Minnequa thrives as a place for students and teachers to innovate and connect with education in a variety of ways. Minnequa is an Innovation School, and that allows teachers to reach students in creative ways.
Minnequa also partners with Gateway to the Southwest, an artistic initiative designed to cast Pueblo as a "gateway to the Southwest" through a series of art pieces and sculptures. Minnequa students are invited into this process, and the kids get to see these sculptures close-up before they are unveiled to the community.
