Many many exhibits are empty. Couldn't see the zebra they were working on their enclosure. The den was closed. I just wish that they told you this stuff before you bought a $14 ticket. I understand their website says some won't be visible, however telling people "these are the habitats you can't view right now" would be helpful when buying tickets. I hope they bring in more animals lots of empty space

This zoo was terrible. They had one lion. They had a few good animals but this zoo is been small and we finished it in 40 min. My fab part was the red panda. I wasted my money, so small and half of the animals were gone. There was no bear or cat or anything.

I took 2 of my grandkids today and it costs $14.50 for adults and $10.50 for kids. It was awful 70percent of the animals were gone or died. 1 snake 2 turtles no male lion 4 goat's and you can't feed them 2 different kinds of monkeys the eagles and vultures had only 1 wing each it was so sad. All the exhibits were empty just 4 birds in the rain forest area nothing else a few penguins everything was so expensive at the concession stand they sell food and drinks and then you can't go in a exhibit you can't take food or drinks so we had to throw them away I mean why sell that stuff and then say no food or drinks? For the price they charge to get in and no animals it was a total rip off I'm sorry but they need to get there act together. When I was little or when my kids were little the zoo was fun no more monkey mountain or bear exhibits it's just pictures on the wall that say historic monkey mountain or historical bear exhibits kids don't care about that they want to see actual animals. I will never go back there again ever. All I heard kids saying was where are the animals or passing exhibits saying ooo there's nothing in that one. I'm telling you it is not worth the $50 dollars we paid to get in. My grandkids were so excited to go and I was telling them how much fun it was when I use to take there parents and it was so depressing how do you tell 9 year old little girls well they use to have this and they use to have that but it's historical now. All the exhibits were also a mess not raked or cleaned. I don't understand if you have all the historical buildings why not use them? Put it this way my babies walked out of there with sad faces. Next weekend we are going to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Or the Denver Zoo. So I can show my grandchildren what a real zoo is supposed to look like. I know this review is bad and I actually have never given a review on anything before but Pueblo Zoo is so sad and depressing that I had to tell people the truth.

Only slightly depressing. A good majority of the animals seemed to be in good spirits and well taken care of. Good place to take young kids ignorant of the slavery occurring within zoos. A few oddballs who looked like they could care less about the animals but the staff seemed mostly attentive and appeared to be actively checking on the animals. Good too see a smaller zoo with a little love

Was excited about seeing a zoo outside of my state of Texas while we visited for spring break but was very disappointed in the zoo the camel ? is hurt and there is no staff to be found they have animals that aren't solitary animals separated like the bison and they have one animal in most exhibits if any animals at all definitely was not worth the money we paid won't be back to this zoo again

Great little zoo, I would say that I was surprised by the amount of exhibits that were dedicated to red pandas, but I like red pandas so that's not a complaint. My only disappointment was that I couldn't see any bear and it looked like the center exhibit was empty where there's typically water and other animals, I'm not sure what it's supposed to go there

These stars are not in the lack of anything other than the disappointment of the empty enclosures. The bear pits were empty except two bald eagles were in one. There were more open empty spaces or if they had something in them there was tarps up so we couldn't see. HOWEVER even though it was a small zoo, the animals were active even on a 38° day. The best part was the lions! They were very active and roaring so loud you could hear them across the park. This was a very cute and clean park and inside the town park. With that being said please go visit and donate money to this zoo. It is worth keeping around.

So few small zoos left in the world. Animals are well cared for andhas a great history from the early 20th century.

We always have e a great time here. While they may not have as much as bigger zoo's they're steadily growing and always adding new exhibits. Every year they add just a little more. So glad pueblo has this.

Super sweet staff who were very knowledgeable and in their eco zone took the time to show me where the animals like to perch, how old they were, and what their diets consist of. Great way to spend 3-4 hrs. They have plenty of benches to sit and rest on if your legs get tired. The penguins were cute, but I wouldn't recommend going too early. Many of the animals were sleeping, like the painted dogs, and couldn't see them too well. The kangaroos were also hiding out. But overall great experience and really enjoyed the history found throughout the zoo.

This zoo is super lovely for a stroll. I wish their cafe were open through Fall, but worth the low admission rates, I can't fault them too much. The animals look healthy and are fun to watch .
