Beautiful park with river access, picnic tables, a big eagle statue, fun walking trails, and great hiking and biking trails. We really enjoyed the boothill summit and seeing the mountain views. It's a very peaceful and spiritual place. The prayer stone stacks are great. It's truly a little gem, and it's in honor of Dennis Weaver, the actor and wildlife activist.Restrooms: Portable toilet by parking area.Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome in most areas here. Please clean up after your pups.Picnic area: There are a couple of picnic tables next to the eagle statue.

Beautiful spot on the river. The bronze Eagle weighing around 2,800 pounds is spectacular.

This was a very beautiful park to visit and ride our bikes through. This park honors a great actor that has made many movies and tv shows that you might remember and some you probably never heard of. Very nice memorial.

The crowds this weekend were intense. I literally spent all day trying to find somewhere to have a picnic. Thankfully I found this place. I probably shouldn't even review it because then more people will know about it. However the mosquitoes and deer flies and horse flies were intense. Even with bug spray they ate us alive. I probably got 20 or 30 mosquito bites no joke. It is a beautiful area but I'm not sure what you can do to protect yourself. I have read a combination of oils with the bug spray works better so maybe I will try that in the future. Or a different spray might work I used deep woods. So good luck not getting eaten alive if you come here but it is a really beautiful area with running water that is lovely to enjoy. And I was able to escape the crowds.Picnic area: There are multiple tables at this location.

Well used park near Ridgway with a few miles of trails through prickly pear cactus and other kinds, probably quite pretty when flowering. Views across the valley and to the mountains. Parking.
