Akinz feels like the kind of place every town wishes it had but usually replaces with another candle shop or generic boutique. The designs are fresh, original, and full of personality without trying too hard. Meanwhile, most nearby stores seem trapped in an endless cycle of the same stuff.
Support local while also supporting your wardrobe, which may honestly need the intervention.

“HEY you made my DAY in Fort Collins. This is Fort Collins. Not a lot of hippies, but some college kids, family oriented town. Yes, this is square but very friendly town. Over 20 boutiques in one small town. I really love the variety of clothes & accessories. I do regret that I ain't have anything from here. If I didn't see it myself, I wouldn't believe this shop exist in Fort Collins. But hey, if you are in Fort Collins, stop by there. You could spend $ 100 - 150, you would get high quality chic stuffs. It is hard to get this reasonable prices within Colorado. Locally owned. This town is always privileged. Boot your positive vibe with the staff or even she is the owner I am not sure. The staff were kind and very helpful in helping me find just the right hat. When it came to the checkout time I couldn't decide on which one I liked more so I got both. I should have bought it right then and there, but I wanted to get it as a gift for this fall. I got sidetracked when I called the store to see if they still had the jacket. It was already sold out at this location. Maddie jumped on the phone and found a coat in stock add another store and had it shipped straight to our house.”
“Desiree was absolutely amazing! We came in last night to look at boards, and she was incredibly professional, friendly, and helpful from start to finish. She helped my teenager build the perfect board and kept a positive attitude and a genuine smile the entire time.
We even stayed past closing, and she never once made us feel rushed — instead, she continued to make us feel welcome and important. That level of customer service is rare and truly appreciated.
I’m beyond impressed with how she treated us and how much she clearly enjoys helping her customers. I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking for a new board or parts. We will definitely be coming back!
