I bought a flattering and unique pair of earrings called “First Tracks” which were very reasonably priced in silver. They were designed unpolished, but I wanted to match a necklace I had that was polished, so for no extra charge he changed the sheen for me. Honestly, Jim and his staff went above and beyond to provide excellent service, and I highly recommend you visit their store when visiting Vail.”
“Karats has the most unique and one of a kind jewelry I’ve ever come across! They’ve got a lot of
high end and truly special pieces in store (gold chains, pendants, earrings, pearls, gold bands, engagement rings) and the artist does a lot of custom pieces too. I sat with him and designed a ring I had been dreaming of but couldn’t find already made.

“I will say I was beyond impressed with the stunning display of carved stones and crystals, raw stones and crystals, jewelry, fossils and the welded metal into pop culture figures (some of which can move). Yes the prices are quite high, so while I wanted to buy just about everything here, I cautiously held back. However a friend of mine tried to take some pictures for posterity, but her phone literally said she couldn't here (iPhone). My phone (Android) could, but within seconds of taking a few for the memories, I was quickly greeted by an attendant whom I hadn't even so much as made eye contact with. This seemed very odd to me so I left. Great place to visit, but strange place overall.”

“Stopped in during my trip to Vail and ended up getting two rings. The staff were very friendly and they had a wide selection of jewelry, and a good selection of men’s pieces as well. I prefer sterling silver or white gold and this was one of the few shops I found with sterling. Will definitely be back on my next trip to Vail!”
