This was such a beautiful experience. The butterfly enclosure, the invertebrate displays, the conservation and education work, and the staff are absolute world class. We hosted our wedding here recently, with the ceremony inside the butterfly enclosure itself, including a butterfly release by one of the interpreters. The Wings Of The Tropics enclosure is such a beautiful environment, it was impossible to take a bad picture, and watching the butterflies float around was truly magical.Everyone from the venue was a delight to work with. Special shoutout to Maria, our event contact, for being an absolute angel, she and all the staff were accommodating, professional, and made everything from planning to the big day smooth as could be.The building itself was also very conveniently located, with hotel and food/drink options for our guests within walking distance. We have been several times on our own as well just to enjoy the space, and cannot wait to see their plans for a newer and larger building realized.I have heard only great things from anyone we talked to in the area, it seems like everyone from Westminster and Broomfield has been at least once, and everyone who has been raves about it.

Drove over an hour each way to not even be able to PARK. This place was overly packed. At least 10 field trips, not a single parking space and at least 15 people looking for spaces when I was. We ended up having to turn around and go home and waste our tickets. Extremely disappointing.

This is a place to drive an hour away for. I drove from Central City to Westminster to see this place. It was a very pretty place filled with several types of butterflies and other insects. I do wildlife photography, and this place was an amazing venue to shoot at around noon. With great daylight and many beautiful things to capture. Definitely worth the 17$ ticket.

I was super excited to get my daughter with special needs a membership here, expecting to bring her here once a week. However, Monday through Friday there are hoards of children from field trips and school buses. They run around, screaming and my daughter is absolutely terrified. There’s not a ‘safe’ day for me to bring her.The only days they don’t have field trips are Saturday and Sunday, which, of course is busy with weekend traffic.Super disappointed

The Butterfly Pavilion is way overpriced considering the limited amount of things to do there. The place was jam packed with screaming kids, even on an early Tuesday morning. The air reeked of hot breath and wet diapers. We were pretty much rushed through the place and done in about 30 minutes. My daughter was having a hard time reaching the starfish to pet them. The girl was rude and basically pushed us along. The lady at the front desk just took our payment and didn't say anything at all to us. Overall we will not be returning.

The main attraction for sure is the butterfly room. But don’t miss out on the other exhibits! It was cool to hold a tarantula and see some other bugs. Also the urchins wearing hats? Adorable.Pretty affordable and lots of discount options (AAA member, Westminster resident, adventure pass, etc.). Would say an hour and a half to see it all if you’re taking the time to read and immerse yourself. It’s a small museum but unique and the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable.

While I understand field trips are a great source a revenue for the business, you absolutely should close off sales during field trip days. Absolute worst experience. Drove over an hour, online still said hundreds of tickets for our time slot. Got there, waited behind a hundred school kids, to be rushed through the whole place in 20 minutes. Literally 20 minutes. Got here at 10:15am and am writing this outside the exit door at 10:40am I have never had an experience like this here, but man did it change my perception of wanting to come again. Manage your influx of people and you should cut off ticket sales to public during field trip time slots so people don't drive 110 miles round trip for a awful experience

Weekends are usually very busy even first thing in the morning . If your able to go on a weekday I would definitely recommend it.The butterfly area is large with many pathways. The butterflies have feeders and live plants all throughout giving you a chance to see them even if there's a lot of people. There is also a butterfly release that you can watch the handlers bring in newly emerged butterflies. It is quite warm and humid so be prepared to loose a layer in there. The indoor playground is clean and easy to see your kids with a small area for babies and toddlers.

? The Butterflies of Course... They are Beautiful & Big - So Many Different Colors This place is Amazing! The Butterfly Garden is Therapeutic ? There is much more than Butterflies offered here, there is a Wide Range of Tarantulas on Display & Rosie you can Actually hold and Touch. There are Crab and Starfish you can pet. There's So Much Excitement and Interesting things packed into this little building you won't be Disappointed. FYI Field Trips are usually happening during the week, so it's an excess of kids before 1pm.

Wonderful place to hang out. Awesome place to rest and enjoy the colorful flappers around you. Walk around for few minutes and be seated to enjoy them flying around you. You could be lucky if the butterflies sit on you.Got some other caged insects and few aquarium displays on the side. You can enjoy the tarantula crawling on you hand.Online reservation and ticketing is preferable compared to walk-in. We did not have issues with walk-in tickets either.

Every staff member I came into contact with was so helpful and kind. I can think of at least 8 people off the top of my head. And the exhibits were cool. I hope they get to expand one day. We'll definitely be back!

Enjoyed our visit on a Sunday at 2pm at 68 degrees (perfect temp) we were in the area after a United States baton twirling association competition and wanted to spend time at a good place. Hold Rosie the Tarantula see some other species a few tanks with fish. Not as big as I thought and not as many butterflies as I thought either but still a good place.I’ve heard the butterflies land on you but we seen one person that had a butterfly on her hand (the two big white butterflies) but they don’t land on you. She had a white shirt with flowers on it. FYIThere are a few benches to sit but people were sitting in them and didn’t move to let others sit.Gift shop prices are outrageousWe were there for 1.5 hours and that was good enough.First and only experience but that was good enough :)
