“Easily one of the best plant shops in Denver. I always manage to find a plant I've never seen before in The Herbery. From beginner-friendly/affordable plants to rare, collectible, unique specimens, The Herbery consistently has something for everyone. And since they've been in business for almost 6 decades (amazing!), they offer a wealth of knowledge and advice about the plants they sell.
Their prices are always competitive, but on the whole I've found many plants that were much more expensive at other Denver shops than at the Herbery.
For all of these reasons, the Herbery has been, and will continue to be, my primary source as a plant collector.”
“Obsessed with this plant shop! The owners keep it clean and organized and have a wide selection and variety of plants ranging from common to rare! They also have plenty of pots, soil mixes, clear plastic pots (IYKYK) and be sure to check out the collector menu! I have bought here many times and have always been pleasantly surprised! My last purchases have been a dragon tree, and a Philo Florida beauty variegated!”
“Their plants are so healthy, beautiful and affordable. This spring, I bought a blue morning Glory which I have never seen before. It took a while for it to bloom but it just opened up and was so worth the wait! I also buy coleus from them every year and they are so healthy and a pretty addition to my garden area.”

“My husband and I went into O’Tooles to buy supplies to repot several houseplants and succulents. Alyssa was incredibly helpful showing us different soil options and thoroughly explained the benefits of them. She also helped us determine what we needed to treat scale bugs on a new plant. We have been shopping at O’Tooles for our indoor plant/gardening needs for several years now and cannot speak highly enough about the friendly and knowledgeable service as well as the quality of the plants and products they sell! We will keep shopping here for our plant needs!”

“My husband took me to pick out my first bonsai and Tim was so friendly and helpful. I have very bad social anxiety, but he didn’t make me feel stupid or weird at all. “I found Elliot’s this year after spending a good chunk of change at another local nursery the year prior. I wish I found Elliot’s sooner because they have the same exact plants (sometimes more varieties in peppers & tomatoes) at cheaper prices. “As a landscape architect, this place is fabulous. I could spend hours looking at their seed wall, the garden accessories, hummingbird and bird feeders, outdoor furniture, bird baths, indoor plants and so much more. They do get very busy and their selections and variety go FAST for outdoor plants come May. Very popular for a reason, the staff is incredibly helpful and kind. Slightly higher priced than the Home Depot or Lowe’s garden centers but quality is what you are getting.”
“I tried several places to find a really nice rosemary plant for a Christmas gift. I found the perfect plant at Country Fair along with a beautiful pot to put it in. The wonderful sales associate replanted it for me and was very knowledgeable on how to care for the plant. The store itself was very well displayed with alot of great merchandise from plants to outdoor sculptures, decorative rod iron, and more. It's my new go to place for anything to do with plants and outdoor decor. Easy parking and well located at Quebec and Leetsdale.”

Hannah was extremely helpful via text message when I originally inquired about new plants for my salon. She made sure to send me ideas and various types of plants that would work for my space. I drove 40 minutes from South Denver and had a wonderful experience with the two gentlemen that helped me. They were extremely patient, answered all my questions, help me pick out five plants that would be good in my space.
I will definitely be buying my plants from here moving forward.”

“- My review focuses solely on the baby friendly aspect. The star rating reflects my happiness with the nursery and the service.- I went with the whole family tugging a 6 month old along.- The nursery is huge with lots of greenhouses on the property.- I had the baby in a standard Graco stroller.- The parking is just in front of the office which was easy to enter into with the stroller but the space in the reception seemed a little tight with 4 adults as well.- The whole of the nursery grounds, including the greenhouse floor, has gravel that was not the most comfy to push the stroller around, but doable.- The space between trees/plants on the grounds and inside the greenhouse was tight at times, making it impossible to pass through and I had to wait on the fringes.- Watch out for hoses on the floor of the greenhouses- the stroller wheels got stuck on them.”
