“I recently discovered this hidden gem through a gift card from Barter Business Unlimited, and I am so incredibly glad I did! I likely would have never known about this bookstore otherwise, but it has now become my favorite spot.
The affordability here is unmatched, most of the books were only $1! I was able to walk away with a massive haul of nearly 50 items (including children’s books, adult fiction, comic books, and even DVDs) all for under $80. For comparison, I’ve been to other bookstores where just 10 books were more expensive than my entire haul here.
The selection is fantastic; my boyfriend is a huge reader and he was truly in heaven with all the options. I also love that they offer a trade-in credit program if you’re looking to get rid of books from your own collection and swap them for something new. They gave you a bin to carry around in case you got a bunch of books, and oh boy did I fill the bin to the brim... there really was that many options of good books!!
On top of the great prices, the location is amazing, spacious, and there was plenty of parking, which made the whole trip stress free. If you are looking for high-quality, affordable reading material for the whole family, this is the place to go. Thank you Barter for showing me that a library can be so affordable! I will be returning ☺️”

“An old school toy store with modern toys! You can find everything from classic toys as simple as wood blocks to as fancy and high tech with electronics as you can imagine. No place like it anywhere around. If it’s a toy, you’ll find it here! Great, helpful, friendly staff amid the chaos of children everywhere. Our go-to!”
“Best bookstore ever! My best friend and I went into the store this morning with the intention of buying secret books for one another. Keon and Emily helped us both out and listened as we described each other’s favorite genres and tropes. They helped us pick out multiple options and we ended up buying almost all of them! They wrapped them up to make it like “blind date with a book!” It was so much fun and we can’t wait to go back and do this again! Such an unexpected adventure for a Sunday morning!”
“The store is closing and moving to new location so great sales on everything. Found a Blu-ray I’ve been looking at great price! Looking forward to seeing the new spot at Westfarms Mall”
“Love Barnes and Noble. Good feeling place and I’m really grateful they have made it through against the evil Amazon empire of death. Great job Barnes and Noble keeping it analog and real! My kids love it too.”
“This has been a go-to place of mine for years since Borders closed and most of the decent private booksellers are not in this area.
As is true with lots of places, things have gone a bit downhill since COVID, and the place is a bit shabby. It's comforting to still have easy chairs to sit in at a bookstore, but the Canton, CT chairs are worn out and disgustingly soiled. Surely, there is a budget for such things.
The cafe area is gross-- they should've continued to clean tables as they did following COVID.
The long-time bookselling staff is still friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.”
“We visit only 2-3 times a year, but it's always very friendly atmosphere.
Owners are welcoming and helpful.
We chat with them for quite a bit every single visit.
Great spot to buy polish books, polish souvenirs, send packages and many more.
Highly recommend.”
“Never had a problem and I've been going here for a year straight by now. Knowledgeable and friendly staff- if they don't know the answer they'll find it for you. No problems with returns, rentals, swaps or non-book purchases, and there are plenty of those to make in this little store! They have a sale area for note books, pens and little things. Name brand backpacks and plenty of Tunxis apparel to choose from! They know when there stock comes and goes- feel comfortable asking them for help- they are good people in my experience with them.”
“Matthew did something small but amazing - I called and said I wouldn’t be able to make it by 4 p.m. to pick up my order. I was in town visiting and had a tight window. He said he’d come outside and hand me my order, and sure enough when I showed up he did. He could have very easily just been like “Sorry bro”. Thank you and I applaud the positive attitude!”
“I'm an employee for Chartwells at Trinity College and i cook in Mather Hall.Trinity Book Store has top of the line clothing for men&women whatever your sports team is so they get 5 stars from me”
“This is a modest house, a second house this Block Buster author, probably equivalent to Star Wars of the time, built for herself...yes, this was before women were legally allowed to own her own property in the US! I was surprised at the popularity of Uncle Tom's cabin..you see a room of after effects not only in books and paraphernalia, but on wall paper produced at the time and restaurants being named after it. Our guide was a fantastic woman with a degree is sociology and it came through. She was friendly and open and made our tour interactive. She truly made our tour special. I learned so much about the time Stowe lived in and the Protestant minister father who made her a Catholic! Her 5 brothers all became ministers like their father...the two brothers who did not cut it, committed suicide! I felt immersed in the time while touring.”
“Heaven on earth for a Catholic. Every book you would ever want. Every Bible, lots of rosaries, all sorts of beautiful decorations and jewelry. I picked up Confessions and The Imitation of Christ in beautiful leather-like binding. I will be returning!”
