The Pickin' Patch is a pick your own (fruits and veggies) farm established in 1666; it used to be a dairy and tobacco farm. Yes, I love historic places and farms! I read reviews and gathered that it was a great place to visit, especially during the autumn time. The parking lot was spacious right off the busy road.
They offer hayrides and there was a pumpkin patch; you can pick your own in the field or in the store. There was a garden center and farm store. The farm store had jams, jellies, apples, gourds, cookies, veggies, pumpkins, mums, hot sauces, etc. They had wheelbarrows for you to use, if you're planning to buy a few big pumpkins. They also had an apple fritter/donut/cider stand. I purchased half a dozen of apple fritters for $8; you can add extra cinnamon sugar. Those apple fritters looked like donut holes but tasted like apple donuts, it was very splendid! Overall, a great spot to stop by if you're into the small town farm vibes. There was a beautiful view of the Heublein tower on the hill and the fall foliage. It's the perfect fall activity!

A nice place. Big variety of pumpkins, flowers and apples. Decent prices. The only bummer was the hayride was not in service. It's the weekend, come on!!

There was a nice assortment of fresh produce at decent prices. And they had condiments and jams and jellies. I chose three: boysenberry, elderberry, and jalapeno. They're all tasty in their own way. Check it out!

Store was challenging to navigate due other customers’ wagons of pumpkins. Apple cider donut was crispy and overcooked.

Very cute, however the apple fritters place was closed at 4:30. Other people were arriving and asking about the same thing. Apparently they close at 4 so I wished they would advertise that that's all. Very cute selection of pumpkins. The farm stand had several apples and other products but we mainly came for the fritters. We ended up buying a small pumpkin for $4.

Pickin Patch is currently not a place for PYO but it is still a cute picturesque farmstand great for simple family activities. They have food stands with apple cider donuts and apple cider. The donuts aren't overly sweet which I loved! There are lots of pumpkins prepicked and placed around the farm stand and in the empty field to the side. They also have a variety of local apples and other produce. Farmstand cashiers are not the most friendly, but it's a small enough part to not ruin the whole experience.

Charming rustic well-priced "patch" of a local farm stand to buy for your garden, plus indoor yummiest. Rita will guide you to what you need, you will be happier than when you arrived!
