“Small local branch which is helpful and accessible. Manager Silvie is a lovely professional who knows what banking is, or should be, which is really about people. Counter and drive-up staff are old world...ie nice, welcoming, smiling and helpful. Have been there many years. Parking is EZ, coffee is gratis, and office folk know how to send international wire transfers. Office folk can be a tad more welcoming and less rote-focused.”

“Elizabeth T from the loan department is a true gem. She recently helped me secure a car loan after my car was stolen in June. She was so personable and all of my questions never seemed like a burden to her, despite feeling like I was asking too many. Immediately after purchasing my vehicle, my husband wanted to upgrade his loan and again Liz helped him secure a car loan with a great and competitive rate- much better than what the dealership was offering. Most recently, Liz attended the member appreciation bbq and you could just tell that she genuinely was happy to be there. She was able to chat with us and not just talk to us and she remembers the minute details from the conversations you’ve had with her. We really enjoyed working with Liz and will continue to partner with her as a loan officer.”

“Start Bank is one of those rare places that lives up to it's name as a "community bank." The staff know who I am and are always helpful. They are also well trained and knowledgeable. Bank policies are transparent. My checking account is free, and they have no hidden fees like I've experienced at other banks. Because they are a small bank, there is only one location and they don't have ATMs all over the place. So I just plan to do my banking when I am in that part of town. The trade off is well worth it.”

Before that it was a different name .Used many branches in my area of Hamden CT but the Woodbridge branch hands down is the best .I had the pleasure of talking to Ryan over the phone when I needed a notary. He was extremely helpful and nade the grueling task easy and pleasant .I then went into the bank and met with Dan Smith. He's so great to talk to and extremely personable .His expertise in helping me get some documents notarized was much appreciated .I had been trying to find a notary that didn't need my first born as proof of citizenship and Dan,,Ryan and Wells Fargo took care of me .The Woodbridge branch is by far the most professional and personable . Been to several all over the state .This branch Shines .Easy access for parking and walkin.”

After using the ATM for many years, I recently learned something new.The ATM can provide service for people in a variety of languages including, Chinese, French, Korean, Russian, Vietnamese, and Spanish. “I have been a member of this bank for about 27 years when my mom began my savings account as a baby.. I have never left and continue to use this as my main bank. The staff over the years have become friends to my family and are very personable with each and every visit or phone call. I moved a bit farther away from Waterbury now but will not leave this credit union. Anything I need I know they will have done in 2 minutes from my phone call. I appreciate the personal touch this credit union has.”
