“Needed laundry detergent. Stopped in at our local ocean state. Have to say I really do love walking around this store and finding all the neat stuff from clothing to household to food. The clothing is great too, many name brands. Love the leggings. The food items are cool to go through, I buy many different beverages here and have fell in love with them, requiring me to research where I could find more when ocean state runs out. Cleaning supplies, hygiene, all great prices. Just a fun store and if you're into gardening, this is your store. I recommend it!!!!”

“It's a small space but it's loaded with all types of merchandise. The clerk was friendly and polite. Prices vary, it's not a 1$ store but items are affordable and the frozen foods selection is what it is.”
“The store is grossly understaffed and the workers take no pride in their service of customers. If it wasn't for the deals that you may find I would and have avoided shopping there. Also, and this must be said, I haven't met one employee that would go out of their way to help a customer in need. Not to mention the 4 registers that are never open, they keep one open no matter how many customers are waiting. Avoid at all costs”
“OMG if you're like me & behind w/ Christmas &still need Christmas bags, boxes, tags, tissue papers, stocking staffers or bows Go to Dollar City in East Haven (next to Stop n Shop). They have it all. I got 11 huge Christmas bags, 6 boxes, 2 tissue papers, 1 sm bag & 3 medium size bags for $49.03. They also have beautiful jewelry and stuffing stuffers”

“This place has everything you need in a pinch. Prices are more than a dollar but definitely discounted. The quality of the stuff is actually better than I assumed it would be. I assumed it would be a bunch of junk but the quality is probably middle of the road. Overall I am grateful for this place in my neighborhood. It is a great 'dollar' store. It's on the high end of my dollar store spectrum.”

A huge selection of household goods, some basic clothes and hand bags with excellent prices.Very organized and clean.One Big downsize, which I understand, I feel that I have been watched even followed by employee of this store. People steal so much from stores these days! Still, make me feel very uncomfortable to go to this store.”
“This is GREAT!We live in the neighborhood and when they expanded the Family Dollar and attached the dollar tree was amazing. A very clean and big space with tons of options.This is literally a convenient store.-Food: You CANNOT find fruit and vegetables BUT you can find milk, pizza, eggs, French fries, milkshakes, yogurts,etc,. in the huge fridge.-Rest of the things? You can find EVERYTHING.- Medicines: I found some LESS expensive than at CVs.- Prices: a little bit more expensive in some products, but for me worth it because I don’t need to drive! You save time which it’s more important.Staff: very friendly and attentive.Very happy!”

“Today is their last day before they close up shop since being in this location since 1998. It WAS a nice little convenience store that had everything from greeting cards, kid's toys, seasonal items (Inside the store, as well as pumpkins, wreaths and christmas trees outside), tools, food, beauty products, a pet section, stationary and party supplies ;) and more. Since moving into town a year and a half ago, we've purchased just about any and everything from pumpkins, our Christmas tree skirt and on our son's first birthday, I stopped in with him here to buy him his first balloon. I'm sure Sisto will move on to better things. He may be done with this location, but not done providing greatness to the town of North Branford.”

“I was amazed when I arrived at the store, the online reviews were very mistaken. The store was clean and organized, they also have a great selection of stuff. The customer service I also experienced when I was there was great, the question I asked the cashier she was very thorough in answering me and also assisting me. “I went to the Dollar General during the Corona Viruses epidemic.. l was lucky to find toilet paper , lysol wipes and hand sanitizer.. the staff was friendly and helpful. Also they had tape on the floor to assure people were 6ft apart. I will definitely go back”

“I stop at DG often, it's convenient and to be honest they have most of the things I buy on a regular basis. The workers do a really good job. I wasn't sure how I would feel about going with Covid 19 and everything, but it's no different than any other store. I would recommend it.”
