Im a First time customer in this location the gentlemen or maneger or owner who ever he is was very rude to me and my child I had asked my child to go out the store to tell her father to wait for me and she came back in the store then she went out one more time to get me my card to buy my items for whatever reason in wich I don't care cause we're paying costumers this gentleman proceeded and said in an uncomfortable and bother rude way that i had to tell my child not to come in and out the store because she was setthing the stores alarm from the door that goes off when a customer goes in and out the store and it will penalize him for it for whatever reason he gave in wich it made no sense at all but I spoke to her on the door thing and told.her to stay in with me trying to explain to her what this gentleman had explain just to have no problems then he still proceed to tell.me that she couldn't stand in front of the it's door in wich she wasent she was far away from the door but he still.didnt want her standing there iather because yet again it will set up the alarm and or it'd maker count of customer that come in and out and if no.sales are made he couldent make money or something like that in which I got upset and bother and asked him to explain to me what he meant with all this nonsense because it was new to me and I've never seen anyone mention anything like that in any other gnc store and if is true and is a thing it's still beside the point were paying costumers and he was rude I just think he was annoyed in general or maybe because yup ima say it because we were Hispanics in his store iather way his way of going about it and then having to explain something that made no sense at all because he was bother by something insignificant considering the fact that one im a paying costumer and two she was only following my orders and going to get me my card and tell her father to wait on me really quick i will never again will be going to this small store with this rude person ever again and i will be taking my money eles were one less customer thas fine he needs to work on his costumer sercice skills and its customer service communication skills and to think that my husband spends so much money with these people especially online in this location too well not no more

Avoid GNC Stores at all costs and save yourself the trouble. I haven't had an issue with rudeness from the workers, they were fairly polite, HOWEVER, they will absolutely take advantage of you. I came in for some new protein powder and a shaker cup. I was quickly persuaded into the, "buy-one-get-one half-off," deal they were offering on most items. I ended up with 4 different jars of powder, (with the deal, I figured I might as well stock up and save $ in the long run, right?... wrong.) After ringing up at the counter I found out that the total was nearly $300, if it hadn't exceeded that number already. A little more persuading conversation, and the next thing I know I'm agreeing to sign up for the GNC PRO membership-- only because I was told that it would offer more savings on my current purchase, and provide $40 worth of points on my account for the future, (basically an entire jar of powder,) so, why not. So, after spending $40-$50 EXTRA to sign up for the GNC PRO membership, and being told, "it basically pays for itself if you sign-up now because of the points you'll receive from your purchase," I still have a total of $260+, whatever, at least I have a free jar of powder to look forward to. What I wasn't informed of is those points on my account worth $40 will expire, exactly one month from my purchase. That seems like something important to explain to a new sign-up, but I guess not. I also didn't get my PRO-member monthly mystery-box, which conveniently, GNC did away with the same time I sign up. So, no 'free' goodies for me, just more, "exclusive member discounts." The store worker did right by me and offered me some freebies, but GNC as a corporation are just sleezy and should be avoided. Personally, I don't know any normal gym-goer who's going to use 4 entire jars of powder in a single month, but apparently GNC thinks a lot of people will-- because even after speaking with the GNC support number about my lost points and un-received box, I was told the best they can do for me now is a measly 150 points credited to my pro account, equal to roughly $5. Keep it. And don't expect to get another dollar from me. Find a small business and support them, GNC doesn't deserve your money.

I don't understand people that write bad reviews about this place, the crew is always respectful I think that the people that wrote bad reviews are the same kind of customers that go in stores and give bad attitude to the workers. Give respect get respect.

“Wow” is all I can say. Employee basically chastised me for not wanting to “help him” - and when I said “no” he was like “wow, thanks”. I just didn’t feel like signing up for anything. You’d think I committed a crime!

first time going into a GNC in about 15 years. its 2023 stop asking for peoples phone numbers and when they say no, dont desperatly try again like a creep. "dOnT tHiNk yOuLL eVeR sHoP aT a gNc aGaIn"?... uhh yea exactly. that and i dont ever have to give my phone number to anyone and when i say no the first time i dont expect to be asked again. not even the employees fault honestly im sure theres some silly quota they have to fulfill from a person in the company thats never there. oooo ur gonna give me 5 whole dollars off my NEXT purchase in exchange for my number?? cant wait till my next trip there in 15 years! nice store otherwise tho. had exactly what i needed!

Very angry and condescending associate working on a Saturday morning. He doesn't pick up the phone lines for a good hour. I call back and he sounded angry and bothered. I said to him " why are you so angry ?" he replies in a rude manner and laughs. Seriously, what a cocky little pr*ck! he needs to be fired ! he's nothing like Chris and Matt. he also told me he didn't care if I reported him to corporate which I did. Again, what a cocky pos that needs a good wake up call and needs to be fired !

I needed a certain dose of vitamin D3 for my disabled brother to per his doctor. I stepped into an empty store on a Thursday afternoon. It's a small place so I found Vitamin D right away but not the right dose. A tattooed muscle head emerges from the rear and walks behind the counter, and will not help me find what I need. "It's all alphabetical," he said in a bored voice. After a while I found ONE bottle and brought it to the counter where he asked for my account, and argued with me when I just wanted to pay cash and not give him my phone number. I never even come here (looks like nobody else does either) and I sure don't want more spam phone calls. Left without the vitamins and found them much cheaper at Stop & Shop. AVOID. His name is Chris and he's less than helpful, he's outright rude. By the way this store is actually at 99 Farmington Ave next to Sally Beauty Supply, not 129 Farmington Ave.

Very rude associate. I didn't want to give my number when checking out and got a nasty attitude and then the silent treatment. Sorry, not giving my number out to stores anymore amd getting never ending spam calls. The guy working there with all the tattoos needs an attitude adjustment or a new non-cistomer service job
