“Recently took a complete set of copper around the world coins in.. asked for what I thought was a fair trade for a couple silver coins.. I got everything I asked for and was shown the difference between good coins and worn coins.. amazing and helpful staff!!!”
“I was so late on picking up some stuff here. These guys held it beyond what I thought they would. I'm so happy but also let's me know where I'll be going back to....”
“I stopped in on 1/12/2026 and was helped by Frank, who was very helpful with my items, and answered all of my questions. I’ll certainly be back in the future.”
“The best pawn shop I've ever done business with. Always fair, respectful and polite. Chris and crew definitely know how important customer service affects the business relationships.
Keep up the great work!”
“The best pawnshop in all of ct in my opinion, everything from customer service to best prices ect.. its the only place I need to go to when I have anything I want to sell or need money in a pinch. I recommend jb's pawnshop to family and friends.”
“You always go into these establishments cautious, esp if your selling something. You should knw the value of what your selling so your not taken advantage of. Patrick at Brookside Pawn, is very honest, he's not out to take advantage of a seller, esp if the seller is uninformed of what they're selling. Connecticut is a small area to live and work in, u cant expect to have a good name and repeat customers if your don't treat them right, so if u want your transactions to go smoothly and get what you think is a fair or even better then fair deal, then dont hesitate to take a ride to Brookside, def worth the drive, dont bother with any of the other shops you see, most will take what they want, not even say hello, and send u on your way feeling regretful that u didn't go to Brookside in the first place,”
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I had a great experience! The staff was friendly and welcoming, Jose is your guy! He took the time to help me. The shop was clean and well-organized, making it a pleasant place to browse. Overall, I highly recommend for anyone needing to buy, sell, I’ll definitely return! Thank you Jose!”
“I’ve been coming to Pro check cashing for almost 5 years now and cashing my checks they have reasonable Check cashing rates always super professional and a fun experience coming in every week I would recommend this place to my friends and family for sure”
“The guys at the shop didn’t low ball me with my items like a majority of pawn shops do !!! And they gave me multiple extensions around Christmas so I was able to get everything my son wanted and still get my items out of pawn , I recommend them to everyone before trying another shop service is always a 10/10”
“Great guys!! I go there all the time! They give great deals and work with you! I recently picked a new Milwaukee rechargeable battery and it's literally like new! I also recently needed a new compressor, thing is a beast! Thanks gentlemen!!”
“Driven by this place many times and was always fascinated with the large great white shark on display, visible from Route 322. Decided to check it out and was impressed with the variety in inventory; ranging from cool knives, power tools and instruments to vintage video games. The gentleman that I spoke with, Jay, was very helpful and patient with answering all of my questions. Worth checking out for sure!”
“Although their interior was closed, they had a bunch of free dvd out there and they were very generous and friendly. Will definitely be back when their shop is open”
