“The new Barnes & Noble in Cheshire is absolutely massive. You could easily wander around in there for hours and completely lose track of time... just ask me how I know… I did it twice already ?.
The store itself is beautiful, clean, and really well laid out. There are tons of sections to explore, from travel and nature books to home design, quirky humor books, journals, and kids’ books. It’s the kind of place where you go in for one thing and leave an hour later with three new books you didn’t know you needed.
I will say I was really disappointed they let go of the manager from the old location. He was incredibly helpful and did a lot for the community ...especially hosting kids groups and reading to the kids regularly. That was something really special about the old store and it would be great to see more of that community programming come back.
That said, the new store itself is huge, bright, and a great addition to the town. Definitely worth stopping in if you love books or just want a place to wander and discover something new.”
“I spoke with Ashley on the phone regarding a limited edition set of books- she was a doll. She went above and beyond to help me even looking at the authors instagram to get further insight. She was so kind and good. Thank you Ashley xooxox.”
“The Fat Robin is THE place for wild bird supplies. Might be one of the last stores to still be a Brome Dealer. Great selection and inventory, very well organized and the staff is great! Can you find something cheaper elsewhere? Probably. But. you wont get the level of service you get at Fat Robin. The fact that this store has been in business for 28 years speaks volumes.”
“This was a great find--a booklover's paradise! Found some fun old children's books and some great first editions (nothing super valuable but cool to find). You could literally spend hours here browsing. And that was in the smaller barn! There was a larger barn also full of books we did not get to. Have to save it for another trip.?”
“Warm cozy place to pick up a gift of various kinds, like pens, tee shirts, mugs, & other stuff & of course books and bibles. Personable & friendly & knowledgeable. There is a large dining room table you can chill out at & read with a cup of tea or coffee, if you like!”
“Excellent if you would like to purchase QU merchandise. Good if you live on campus and need a few items. I don't recommend ordering online. They tend to cancel my orders as items are not available. Safe location. Plenty of bathrooms nearby.”
“This review is actually for The Reading Room which is above Reread Books. It is a great open space for meetings. A little kitchenette off the side, with plenty of tablespace and collaborative tables. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a relaxing environment for your team to meet.”
