Jimmy was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to help us find the perfect fit and style. The store was very well organized, which made it easy and enjoyable to shop. The whole staff was friendly and professional. I highly recommend this store.”

“I've been a Banana Republic shopper for over 30 years and counting. Absolutely love going into the Banana Republic store inside Danbury Fair Mall because I can try things on, see all options and with any luck find a wonderful clearance sale or two on a weekly basis. One thing has definitely change, bring back the REALLY GOOD CLEARANCE SALES PLEASE. Staff has changed a lot over the years, used to know all associates by name & they knew mine as well. I do miss the kind and friendly staff they had there prior to Covid. Perhaps with this post you have received some positive feedback from someone who knows and purchases your products weekly. “Such a great experience today finding the right size pants. I was feeling discouraged because I couldn’t find the right size in two stores I already been in. She was quick to help and bring me her suggestions. She made me so comfortable and I left a happy customer. She also went above and beyond and entertained my children. I wish I could remember her name because she mentioned it twice. I want to say like Vanessa or something (Sunday around 12). I will be back for more!”
“The woman with the long hair in the Baby Gap section was incredibly helpful and is fantastic with kids! My 7 month old was starting to get tired and cranky, but this sales associate brought a smile to his face and made him laugh. We needed a dressier outfit for him and she showed us the options they had in store in his size. My son is tall, so we were looking for something in size 12-18. Some of the dress shirts had buttons that could be dangerous for a 7 month old. She brought it to our attention, which we were very grateful for. We ended up finding a polo for him and a lot of other cute items. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will definitely return. The only thing that could be improved would be more sizes in stock.”
“Frequented this store recently for my husband's suit to br tailored. The woman whom gave assistance was incredibly polite and had a warmth about her. The tailors did an outstanding job and within the time frame we needed. However upon returning we were assisted by a different woman (appeared to be in her 40s). To be frank, she seemed irritated and unapproachable because her demeanor was negative. I will add that customers notice when employees do not enjoy their work life. This does most times affect the shopping experience.”
“My kids love shopping here and I dreaded visiting because the workers were always hit or miss, and the dressing room was rarely open.
We recently visited and there was immediate relief. We were welcomed, and the worker there told us about the sale they were having. Overall, a much better experience! “Simply put, you either love thrifting and the hunt for clothes or you despise it. While I often don’t have the patience to dig through incessant racks, Plato’s Closet really allows you to see just how much product is accumulated through fast-fashion. It’s incredibly mind boggling!
I went on a busy Saturday afternoon in the hopes of finding some new Spring dresses for work. Unfortunately on this trip I left empty-handed.
As a whole, I think Plato’s really targets the “younger” consumer, which may be great for trendy, casual clothing, but maybe not for a slightly dressier office. However, I really appreciated the color and coordination and I must say while I didn’t properly look, I think they’re athletic wear is one of their biggest attributes. A huge win for all of the fitness ladies and yoginis!
While the environment is overall positive, there was one associate doing go-backs, practically pushing customers out of the way to restock and organize racks. Having had a long career in retail, I can understand the frantic Saturday pace. However, nothing’s worse than getting your turn at a rack, only to feel like you’re “in the way” for simply trying to shop.
On that note, I’d love to stop in on a weekday (hopefully with more patience!) and score some great deals!”
