After 18 years we quit Mitchell. Unfortunately, something changed with them. They have lost sight of what is most important to customers. In trying to work through a simple account issue, they were difficult. Its not about the fuel, its about customer service.

Hello, I'd like to share with the world, my service experiences with Mitchell fuel services. Their sales representative named Kate M., is a true professional at her job. My wife and I are bi-coastal residence, so it's very important to have someone you can trust in your corner on both, West and East coast. Kate is my go to person here in New England. She always listens to my questions and concerns and does exactly what she promises each time I make a request. That said, "customer service" could be her middle name. Thank you so much for being there for me Kate. I will continue to be a loyal Norbert Mitchell customer as long as I can count on a person like Kate. Happy Holidays and thanks for listening!

I'm a new customer with Mitchell and so far I've been impressed with their communication and services. They email me the same day on my inquiries. Also when I had an emergency they made sure to send a technician out to fix it right away. I'd highly recommended them.

Mitchell Propane is the BEST propane company with the BEST teams across sales, installation, delivery and customer service.
We moved to Greenwich in the Spring 2024 and had to figure out our new home - including propane, well and septic...after living in Westchester with natural gas, public water and public sewer.
We were so very, very fortunate to be connected with Dee Schilling, Field Sales Rep at Mitchell Propane for our area. In a word, Dee is spectacular. She was our quarterback to get all of our propane issues solved. We worked closely with multiple visits to plan on where and how to bury a 1000 gallon tank, replace lines to a new generator and pool - and get our house propane ready. We even added another solution to have a new 100 gallon tank service our barn. Dee is patient, kind, responsive and importantly, gets it done. Always has her cell phone and always texts/calls you back quickly. She navigates the entire Mitchell Propane group amazingly well to get all questions and issues answered and resolved quickly. Never takes a shortcut. Without her, the project would have been directionless. She started with filing permits on our behalf and never quit until we had all of the final COs from the town in our hands. An A++ quarterback.
The rest of the Mitchell Propane team is a group of MVPs and the best in the business. All super competent, responsive and a pleasure to work with. We are grateful for all of their help and look forward to being a customer for many years ahead.
Here are a few shoutouts:
* Theresa and Chantra in the Sales Dept - answered all of our questions, got our account set up and followed up regularly. Super friendly and helpful.
* John, the Installation Coordinator - came to our house and spent multiple hours reviewing everything and drew up the plan for the installation. Super technical, extremely competent and gave us confidence in the plan.
* Tyler, Jairon and Damian were the techs that did the installation. They were kind, competent and answered all of our questions. All of their work was flawless and never took a shortcut.
* Mario and Stephen were the techs that adjusted our venting when we did some landscaping after the install - and Mitchell was kind enough to adjust for us. Patient, competent and super friendly.
* Jorge, the driver for our delivery route - We met him when he came for the initial fill-up and one other top off. Friendly, smiling and a pleasure to speak with. A true professional. We look forward to seeing him all through the cold winter!
Thank you, Mitchell Propane. Your professionalism and attention to detail was truly amazing in this installation. Dee Schilling is a total rockstar and helped us navigate the entire project -- and we met so many GREAT people from Mitchell all along the way. Your company has a great culture with a true winning team attitude. We appreciate you delivering on EVERYTHING and more of what you promised.

I just want to pass along a compliment for my service technician, Riley, who performed maintenance on my oil boiler system this morning. He was on time, pleasant, efficient and spent time explaining answers to my technical questions. I hope to have him back for future maintenance. Thank you!

I requested the removal of the oil tank and an estimate back in February. Despite the tank needing replacement due to its age and potential for leaks from corrosion, Mitchell still delivered approximately 500 gallons.
I’ve been emailing and calling since February, and after 7 months of back-and-forth, they finally pumped out the remaining oil from the tank. In response to Mitchell’s review: You acknowledged that the employee who made this mistake has since left, but you still refuse to admit your responsibility in the matter.

Pay attention !!! This company is known for making up charges into your account that you do not authorize; pay attention to your statement or service they claim to do, because they make up services without your consent! This company needs to stop Harassing and Threatening me over the phone, you want me to pay you over $300 that you claim I owned you for a service that I did not authorize, and I do not recall the service about which you are talking. For sure I did not make the call to your office or give you my consent to talk to anyone on my behalf, therefore you just violate my privacy/personal information and is now floating around. Your staff just told me over the phone -LEGAL ACTION IS COMING MY WAY??

We had our HVAC system serviced yesterday and had Barry as our technician. We’ve always used Mitchell and they’ve always been great but Barry was exceptional. We have two badly behaved dogs that i had to move from basement to bedroom while Barry was working to get everything done. He told me exactly what he was doing step by step so there were no surprise meetings! He left with everything beautifully cleaned and smelling great! Now if i could just remember to change those filters… I’ll try Barry !! Thank you again!

We had a leak in the oil tank in our basement. Carlos at Mitchell’s did a magnificent job to first provide a temporary patch, then furnished and installed a new tank within a week. Their crew did a great job in removing the existing tanks and installing a new one. All done smoothly and quickly!!
