“We were there for children's books for the grandkids and a sales person was extremely helpful and spent a lot of time with us. We were buying for 4 kids of different ages and really needed the help. Seems to have a good selection too. This would have been difficult to do online.”
“I came to this bookstore as part of the CT Book Trail event for Independent Bookstore Day. It was bright and inviting, the staff were extremely pleasant and knowledgeable and they had a great selection of books and bookish gifts. Not being from the area, I would have never known about this bookstore but thanks to the CT Book Trail, I can now confidently say that I'll make the occasional trip back here just to experience it again.”

“Great little book store with lots more than books. They had the book I wanted to give as a Christmas present for less than on Amazon. They even gift wrapped it for me. Will be going back.”

“This is an independent bookstore with a friendly staff. I am a fantasy reader and that selection was not that big, but they have a lot of fiction and a beautiful children’s section!”
“I want to give 5 stars but a employee (Brett) was just so inappropriate I must be true to myself:I was excited entering the store because it felt so welcoming and it was my first time brining my daughter to a book place. We browsed for fun activity games and books safe for kid. There is a cafe and well worn benches to sit and read I’m guessing. The customers were diverse the day I visited all good people tall short jewish Asian all type. Although I had a strange and disappointing encounter with someone said to be the manager (Brett), I will revisit. Maybe he will have received some training or move on to another job cause he ain’t it. He was hovering around me and invading my personal space saying he was doing his job. I eventually moved to a less private area because I felt uncomfortable. Lucky my daughter was busy playing in the kids past.Another customer approached me and told me she saw and heard everything. She said she wanted to make sure I was okay. I truly appreciated it she was so warm to me and nice to meet. She then reported him to a kind woman with long hair working nearby. I also spoke with her. Another employee (Joel) was super kind and helpful too. It’s not what I expect from Barnes and Noble but since the pandemic, there’s a mixed bag of nuts out there. Good parking and a nice little local spot. Worth a visit.”
“Great local toy store , big selection and nice staff . Nice that places like this still exist in the Amazon age . My twins had a great time at the Sunday Pokemon tournament.”
“This bookstore is in an universe of its own. Each genre was like a world you could escape into. It multi-leveled and maze like. I really enjoyed the local selection San Franciscan books and the children's section. The children's section consisted of books that I would be able to find elsewhere. Not you typical Eric Carle or Dr. Seuss.”
“The choice of books is important and pleasantly displayed. The women very helpful, advice, ordering a special request, holding books if necessary, very helpful with children. A place I look forward to visiting each time I come back to Darien. I'm going home with 2 books.”
