“Lamb tasted like milk
Fed lamb, really out of this world. Not sure where they source their meats but seems really high quality. Would get another rack of lamb again”
“We came out of Gilette Castle and passed by here intending to grab some sandwiches and a cup of coffee and continue on our way. The results are surprising. This is the best sandwich and pizza I have ever had. The sandwich is a signature item. The bread is fresh and moderately soft and hard. The beef is tender and juicy. With high-quality cheese, the taste is impressive. You can choose your own pizza toppings, the baked crust is crispy and delicious, and the cheese is rich. It is strongly recommended that you don’t miss it. The shop owner and employees are very welcoming. The weather was relatively cold and they even taught us to turn on the heater when we were dining at the door. Very pleasant experience.”
“For a small market they’re take out meals are amazing. The meat is superior and today my New York strip has green beans instead of potatoes. And the beer can chicken thighs absolutely delicious. My diet is so limited because of LYme it’s meat fruit and veges and you’ve got that to go. Did I mention I love you guys.”

“Came down for two days and stayed at the machimoodus tiny houses. I didn’t do food shopping before hand and was a little worried I stumbled onto this little gem.with lots and lots of options. I love the small town feel and the help were super friendly. I made a little Italian sauce from scratch and they had all of the ingredients needed. I’ll be back for sure.”

“I just love Big Y. Convenience and great service. Prepared foods are a fabulous bonus. Not a bargain store but fair prices and great selection.
Updating my review. Have been going to Big Y for many years now. Still love it. Still think some things are a little pricey but no different than any other grocery store. Very disappointed that they started charging fees for Electric Vehicle charging. They used to give one free hour of charging while you shop. I really enjoyed grabbing a few kilowatt hours while I shopped. It was a nice perk that made me choose Big Y over other stores. I am less loyal now. I shop for convenience and best sales so sometimes I end up at other stores. But Big Y is definitely still in my top three for grocery shopping.”
“What a gem in downtown Clinton! We had the best time getting to talk to the owner Fran while we were there, who is clearly so passionate about his business. He travels to Italy often and even toured the pasta factory that he sources his products from. Everything sold here is as authentic as it gets and is extremely high-quality. He has DOP certified aged balsamic which isn’t easy to find! He gave us a sample and it is definitely the best balsamic I’ve ever had. You could spend so much time here looking through the shelves of his offerings. I was impressed by the beautiful gift baskets he has there as well. Such a great spot to know about, and it felt good to support a small, veteran-owned local business.”

“The store manager Kari gave me a very good experience that i wanted to share, my son whos birthday was coming up in a few weeks, has become star wars obsessed, and in the toy isle they had some star wars action figures, and for a very reasonable price, I wanted to get him a little squad of storm troopers to go with the other figures i got him, but they only had one, i traveled to other dollar generals but only managed to find one more, I finally went back to the one in town where i asked Kari if there was anyway to order more and explained the situation, she said she would order more for me, i was very thankful but had my doubts that it would actually get done seeing how shes always running around super busy… but sure enough a few weeks later i went in and she notified me that she ordered a bunch of extra and they all came in!? She went above and beyond and because of her, my plans for my sons birthday present was accomplished just in the nick of time ?”
“Ive always been a casual user of oils and such, so we decided to drop in. By the way, its a BYOB, (bring your own bread), lol. However, we were warmly greeted and struck up a conversation on beat ways to use the wide variety of oils and vinegars. It was a really great way to spend a quick detour and enjoy some great company!”
“I have to say as a newcomer to the shoreline I would shop at this stop and shop over any of the others in the area. Their produce is always stocked and in decent shape, although I wish they would stock more organic produce at times. Three packs of the organic bell peppers especially. Their meat section rarely has anything that doesn't look fresh and appealing. Their fish department does not have an odor (Madison's you can smell as soon as you enter the store). My only complaints are the personal hygiene of some of the people working there is atrocious. A few of the younger guys working there smell lIke they haven't showered in weeks. I also have had mixed interactions with people worKing check out and now try to always scan my own groceries to avoid that part.”
“Finally got a chance to stop in on lunch. Had a turkey blt that was phenomenal. Very personable guy behind the counter (forgot to catch his name). We'll stocked store and I'm really glad I grabbed a sandwich”

“Love going to Stop & Shop in Clinton. Smaller store than the others around the area. It's not as busy - it's a clean store - employees are friendly and always helpful. And it has the gas station to use my points for discounted price on gas.”
“I generally have a good experience with the staff and get a friendly hello when I come in. The selection of foods and drinks are pretty good, while pricing seems average for a gas station. Now if you’re getting gas it’s a bit more than a lot of places on the shoreline but it’s super convenient.”

“The older gentleman who works the self check out, is an absolute gem. When using wic, I had an issue at the machine. It wouldn’t cover one of the juices I had grabbed even though it should have. He immediately came over and helped me. I unfortunately didn’t have enough to cover it. He told me don’t worry about it and covered it for me. That’s something I won’t soon forget. Thank you sir. Let this be an example of the awesome people working here.”

“They usually have everything I need except activia black cherry yogurt. Sometimes they have a decent selection and other times they don't have any at all but that is my only complaint. Cashiers are very friendly and the store is very clean.”
