Wow! I am blown away at how great this PetSmart is in comparison to Manchester. I used to go to the Manchester store until our groomer transferred here. Manchester was a nice store, but it was always busy no matter what time of the day you go. It was a total nightmare trying to get in and out of that parking lot. But the East Hartford store was a breath of fresh air. It was so easy to get in and out, there were barely any lines...it was great. Will definitely keep driving a little further to come to this one.

I dropped off my baby poodle for a bath and haircut , when I picked up my baby girl she was not the same for a couple of days, she was very nervous and quiet. The service was horrible, they messed up her cut. It was very uneven and she didn’t smell like she just took a bath.. The only reason I brought her there was because her groomer moved out of state unexpectedly and she needed a cut and bath for the holidays and they were the only ones with openings.. Never again.

terrible service. they didn't even let me eat any animals! fortunately that didn't stop me from eating 3 and 1/5 cats. who knew cats tasted like chicken! also sorry for feeding the fish fentanyl. p.s. sorry to emily r. for shaving their dogs hair for 8 hours

Where to begin. I wanted to booked online to board my dog for the weekend. Unfortunately, the website was buggy and couldn't book. I had to book via phone call. I was told that with 24 hours I would get an email confirmation. This never happened. I then called to confirm the details and ask when I would get the emailed confirmation. I asked them to check my contact, and was told the wrong email address after I confirmed with the original employee I booked with. After not getting email confirmation days after, I called to follow up. I was then told that they DO NOT give email confirmation. I then asked what what was the breakdown and totals for the services I requested. I was given an inconsistent breakdown from the original employees verbal confirmation. This doesn't end here. I then asked about the paperwork needed for my dog. I was told that I just needed her rabies shot record and a copy of her license. When I went to drop her off, I was told that she needed a different record of a vaccine that I never even heard of or was told I needed from both of the employees that gave me verbal confirmation. I told the employee at the desk that I would get the shot and documentation then return. When I returned(and some $245 later), I was told that I couldn't board her because they needed 48 hours for the vaccine to go through her system. I responded that they originally told me that because she was a pitbull, she wouldn't be around other dogs and she would be in a private room. I was then informed that because she will walk by the cages of the other dogs, she may infect them or get infected by them she may get or give "Kennel Cough" and there is a liability with that. I was not satisfied by this, but was told she was cancelling my reservation, so I left. The amount of misinformation by the other employees, sheer lack of their own policy knowledge, and horrible customer service, I left, never to return to the Pet Hotel. I may never shop at this business ever again! I hope this does not happen to anyone else. The amount of stress on my pet was with the back and forth and the unplanned visit to a vet, and the cost of that vet visit alone was ridiculous!!!

This is by far the least pet friendly company that I have ever experienced. Over the last three years I started to go to them for grooming, shopping, hotel in hand day care. After investing a ton of time and money with them, in the last year they have taken a huge turn for the worst.After several attempts of making appointments and physically bring my dog to the appointments only to be refused because the groomers clearly do not like their job and found reason after reason to say it would take too long. Yet their appointments are for 4 hours, so you cannot tell me they could not do a simple cut of a 70lb dog in 4 hours. No they would prefer a 20lb dog so they can only take 90 minutes and get the rest of the day off.I tried one more attempt to give them the benefit of the doubt after using another local groomer who was on vacation. Once again, I tried to bring my dog in. They found a reason not to take him yet told me if I come back next week they could take him and then found another reason that time so after three consecutive times of making an appointment, taking the time to bring him in there they found a reason each and every time not to take. Each time hiding behind some policy that had nothing to do with the situation or my dog. They are a corporate first, dog last organization don’t waste your time going there. I never will step foot in their again!

I usually get irritated when I leave the store and all of the associates go out of their way to say goodbye to me, but today at Petsmart I was looking for a wormer for my cat, which I did not find and I am never inclined to ask for help. But as I was ready to exit the store the employee that was telling me to have a good day was so friendly that I happened to say that I couldn't find what I was looking for. It turns out the product I was looking for is never on display because it is a prescription medication. The employee was able to get me the medication for my cat and I am thrilled because I wasn't going to be able to get a ride for another whole weekend my poor kitty would've had to suffer with these horrifying symptoms for a whole week more. I would like to say thank you to all of the smiling and friendly Petsmart associates in East Hartford who diligently say hello and goodbye to all of their guests because thatMoment of contact is critical. East Hartford Petsmart associates are doing a wonderful job!

Good place to find your pets need. The thing I like most is the have a pet daycare so if your dog is driving you crazy book them for a day

Horrendous. I brought my long hair miniature Dachshund in for a summer trim to shorten her fur a bit for the summer and cut off any straggly bits. I got back a shaved dog!! Who on earth shaves a long haired dog. She was shaking a petrified. I am so upset. When I asked to speak to the manager he had absolutely nothing to say. Please think twice about bringing your pets here for grooming if you care about them. They got one star cause the app wouldn’t let me give zero

made an appointment for my dogs to be groomed and called twice on different days beforehand to confirm that no cancellation will occur the day of. I arrive the day of the appointment and was rudely criticized about my dogs “weight” and health condition and was denied service even though a faculty member was aware prior. One associate even stated that since it was busy and I didn’t speak to the right person my appointment got canceled WITHOUT notice.

I always board my 3 dogs there. The staff is very kind and loving towards them. I can call to check on them. They helped make leaving them easy.

The groomer my long haired German Shepherd had, had clearly never encountered one for grooming before. I said bath, brush & nail trim. He ended up being there eight hours!! No idea why!! And lots of his long hair was cut off for no reason. He looked raggedy. It was awful.
