Pharmacy closed on a Saturday! Employees stated the pharmacist couldn’t come in for unknown reasons. No backup technician was available to distribute filled prescriptions either. This is absolutely absurd. This pharmacy has flagrant disregard of regulations, should be closed and replaced by another company. This is only one of the numerous issues with this pharmacy I have experienced in a short time.

The techs are doing a good job. Their load doubled from Walgreens. A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush.

It’s kind of amusing to me to read all these bad reviews. I literally live a block away from the Unionville CVS, but I drive all the way to a Bristol CVS because the Unionville one is so bad. It’s such a hassle and stupidly miserable experience I avoid Unionville at all costs. Everything other reviewers mentioned—very poor efficiency, very long wait times, rude techs—I have experienced as well. It’s even worse that whoever manages this location must know by now how bad the reviews are, but nothing has changed. I guess they don’t care. The customer service is a reflection of that.

Not sure what the deal is with this place. Your prescription is ready and you get there and it’s not. So you wait on the side. Pharmacist drops a bag off at the register and the pharmacist at the register doesn’t look at it and only puts it back on shelf behind. No one says a word and you wait on the side. Line gets big so you wait in line again only to find out that was indeed your prescription. They need to find a better system. And also not sure why this place is like the DMV where they treat customers like they are idiots. If a prescription rings up as $500 or $1000 when it has been $10 for 10 years, I think we know it’s wrong. We are nice about it but we’re given an attitude.

I left this pharmacy after 7 years about a month ago because the pharmacy techs are rude. This one last time the tech went over the line by cutting me off when I said I’d wait for the prescription I needed before they closed. I was scolded about them being short staffed and nobody was there to fill it and they close in an hour. Long story short, after asking if it would be helpful if I transferred it to another CVS and was met with more rudeness she began to cry. The pharmacist had to come up to just say “no problem you can wait”.I switched to the Main Street pharmacy in Farmington but accidentally had one sent to Unionville. I went at about 1p yesterday and the entire tech staff was all new faces, but it could just be day time shirt.I hope they are finally getting it together with staffing. I will check periodically because it is so much more convenient for me. Let’s hope.

Rude staff
If you’re a person of color- you’ll likely be treated with micro aggression and prejudice
They belittle POC thinking that they can’t have private insurances and if they do, they can’t afford copays

It bothers me to openly complain about the attitudes of most the employees at the CVS Unionville, but I must agree with the majority. The "long timers" in the pharmacy especially are miserable. They are not friendly, actually rude, sign and roll their eyes when a question is asked. And God forbid you ask for clarification for something. If you're that miserable get out. They complain that they are "short staffed"....I told the clerk they are always short staffed I appreciate that but don't take it out on a 40 year customer and others. People are picking up prescriptions which is nerve wracking enough and I will not deal with rudeness any longer. What is management doing about this? I will be changing over to a mail delivery (it must be bad for me to complain as my previous employment and present part time employment is representing workers). Customer service in the pharmacy (my personal experiences) is totally lacking.

My family has been filling prescriptions at this CVS since we moved to Unionville in 2001. Unfortunately, the service at this CVS has gone to hell and we’ll be taking our business elsewhere. The convenient location is no longer worth dealing with rude staff, long wait times and overall poor service. Good riddance.

There’s been so many instances of the pharmacy techs being rude and condescending. The pharmacists are great and very helpful when you get a chance to speak with them, unfortunately most of your interactions are with the techs. You feel as if you’re bothering them by picking up medication. A perfect example was when my son was 1, he was getting ear infections every month so we were always at the pharmacy. His antibiotic was a 14 day dose, but the medication expired after 10 days. The pediatrician called in 2 bottles: one for the first 10 days and one for the last 4 days. After 10 days my wife went back to get the second bottle and without checking they told her they didn’t have it and we needed to call the doctor to have them call it in. She called the doctor and was told they called in 2 initially. I went back later that day to get the 2nd bottle but was told the same thing and the tech was clearly annoyed at me for even coming back. After some back and forth of me saying I’m positive it’s here and her saying it’s not and I’m wrong, the pharmacist overhears and interjects and tells me the 2nd bottle is sitting right in the back ready to get mixed and it’s been here since the initial prescription was called in. Of course no accountability or apology from the tech for making us jump through hoops to find the missing medication sitting right next to her. Just one of unfortunately many examples of their terrible communication and customer service.

Wish I could give no stars. After using this pharmacy almost my whole life I'll never send a script there again. Not only are they slow and take forever to fill scripts but they are straight up rude, like you are a complete inconvenience to them. Will make the longer trip to avoid this place.
