The Nathaniel Witherell is a short-term rehab and skilled nursing center located on 24 beautiful acres, just two miles from downtown Greenwich. We have served the community since 1903. The Witherell is committed to person-centered care provided by a compassionate, highly competent, and experienced staff. We are fortunate to have an extremely low turnover rate – six times lower than Connecticut’s nursing home average – which translates into stability and continuity for our residents. We are nonprofit, and are owned and operated by the Town of Greenwich. Witherell is the only nursing home in Connecticut that is municipally owned.
My Mother was here over 25 years ago, we were blessed to have her in beautiful surroundings and the nicest folks to care for her. We were lucky.

Nathaniel Witherell — It is a family, and, like all families, the love you put in is what comes out. From the caring staff to the clean rooms, we could not ask for more. As it is close to where I live, I am able to visit often, to supplement my loved one's care. One special place, this Nathaniel Witherell!
