This place is a disaster when it comes to customer service. The one associate is constantly distracted and helps 2 other people while simulatneously being distracted and not helping the person checking out. To add, today they didn't even have change in the cash register. How pathetic, you don't have $1.27 in change? Blows my mind.

Beautiful location. Some employees are very helpful & kind. Others act as if you’re bothering them because they’re doing their job. Would rather visit a NYC location after my last 2 experiences.

Not the best. I bought a few big tickets items from them over the years. I always associated Saks with good customer service but I don't think this is the situation here. I bought a very expensive jacket and a wallet this year. I had an issue with the wallet a few months later, the color was wearing off! The wallet was very expensive and I called Saks and they said to bring it to the store and they would exchange it or give me credit no problem. My wife went there to exchange and after 45 minutes they reused to take back the wallet or exchange it. They were quite rude! The manager and the salesperson were both not nice.

I've always known about Saks Fifth Avenue, but had never actually been in one of their stores until the other day. I'm not at the income level to shop here regularly, however I was looking for some small gifts for the holidays and thought this may be a good place to check out. I was off from work and didn't feel like going to Manhattan, so I decided to drive to Greenwich to check this Saks out. The Saks in Greenwich is located on Greenwich Ave which is home to a number of other high-end retailers. There are actually multiple stores that make up Saks as a whole here - the main store which has women's items, The Vault, the Men's Shop (aka Barney's), and (I think) a women's shoe shop. I decided to first go into the Men's shop to see if anything spoke to me; immediately upon entry I noticed a SA sitting in the vestibule on the phone (she was loud, the call really should have been taken out of customer view/earshot). The merchandise is spread across two floors with a larger selection on the first floor and outerwear upstairs. I wasn't impressed with the merchandise - the selection was very sparse and there seemed to be a disproportionate amount of coats compared to other items. Customer service was a zero - nobody in the store acknowledged me or engaged me in conversation, and they barely made eye contact when they did. It was only after about 10 minutes the woman in the vestibule got off the phone and said hello to me. I was standing by the leather goods and all she said to me was that the items were genuine leather - as if I was assuming they were fake leather shopping at Saks? Whatever - I made one more lap and left. I decided to stop into the main store across the street, and had the same experience. No acknowledgement of my presence and a bunch of SAs standing around chatting. Overall, my experience at Saks in Greenwich was the pits. I really don't think my expectations are off here - I've shopped at other luxury stores before and have had excellent customer service. I know I don't look like a Real Housewife of Greenwich wannabe, but I'm also not a tourist who stumbled in from 5th Ave. Regardless, all customers should be treated with respect. If I ever patron Saks again it will be online, as their in-store experience (at least here in Greenwich) does not match their supposed reputation as a luxury retailer.

Wow, if you have more money than you could possibly need, then this is the shop for you! Loved the clothes but my bank balance didn't like the price tags!

Horrible customer service. I purchased a pair of pants. They were marked final sale and I understand that. The pants came rolled up in a ball in a plastic bag and stained! I went to the store - refused to take them back. I called online and although they said they agreed with me that I should be able to return them and gave me a return label - the distribution center sent them back with a note... final sale. Horrible for a high end store!

There’s a reason why you shop at Saks and it all comes down to customer service. I’ve always found everyone to be friendly at all their stores in Greenwich, whether it’s the shoe store, The Vault, or the Men’s Store. But it’s people like Danae who go the extra mile and above and beyond the call of duty to make your experience unforgettable. It’s employees like her who keep me coming out to the brick and mortars and not staying at home doomscrolling sales items that I’ll likely have to return. In addition to the service, the locations are spacious, well-stocked and spotless.

I returned my item and still have not received my refund almost 4 weeks ago and no one at customer service or in store seems to care. I am very disappointed in the service both the store and customer service has been providing. Do not shop with sax5th!!!

I feel compelled to share my uncomfortable experience at this location. Upon entering I asked a saleswoman where I can pick up my item I ordered online. She led me to security (I thought this was strange), I guess they dont have a proper pickup service. The security was rude, unhelpful and condescending for no reason. I will not recommend this store to any of my friends or colleagues

Beware of pick pockets. My wife went shopping this Monday I’d say around 1:45- 2:30pm at the Greenwich Ave CT Saks and almost was a victim of having her pocketbook picked. She was browsing downstairs in the perfume area. A unassuming women happen to stand next to my wife also checking out some perfumes. At least that’s what she thought. After a few minutes of sampling perfumes a Saks employee angrily yell out DO DON’T THAT MAM!!! That alerted my wife to turn around to see who she was speaking to. The Saks employee said she was taking to the lady standing next to my wife. She didn’t explain why she yelled “DON’T DO THAT” but only rubbed my wife’s arm reassuring her that her anger was directed to the women standing next to her. At 1st my wife was puzzled because the woman standing next to her seemed to be doing the same sampling of perfume. But what my wife didn’t realize was the lady standing next to her was slowly zipping open her pocketbook to steal her wallet. The Saks employee alert, even though not transparent ,intercepted the thievery. I’m grateful that my wife’s wallet wasn’t stolen but I can only imagine how many victims of this pick pocket there are. It’s a lesson learned for my wife to never let your guard down , even in high end establishments.

Stunningly incompetent customer service. This “company” will. Do everything in its power to NOT return your money. I bought a pair of Prada boots, returned them via Fed Ex and they received them. They received the boots 30 DAYS Ago, and still refuse to refund the $1300 I paid for them. So they have the item AND MY MONEY. They advised that I can choose to escalate “my case” —but not until 14 days from today (why? I have no idea) saks fifth Ave is a relic of a once high end department store that now engages in THEFT AND FRAUD. Do not buy anything from this overpriced hellscape.
