Christine did my daughters hair for her Junior prom. She did an amazing job. My daughter is thrilled and it looks beautiful. Wonderful staff and hair stylist!

I have been going to Salon 221 for well over 10 years - everyone is so friendly, the salon is so clean and has a great ambience. I see Christine for highlights, wash, cut and blow dry and she is magic. I have had my highlights done other places (by necessity when I was in college) and no one does highlights as well as her. She effortlessly gives me a natural and refreshed look every time I go in. My mom and sister also have been seeing her for years and will continue to as long as she is working!Services: Haircut

AMAZING! I’ve been here twice, both times with Betsy. She is wonderful person and such a talented stylist! I’ve been to a few other salons and I never felt entirely comfortable, but here I did. The salon itself has a nice atmosphere and everyone there is friendly and helpful to each other and their clients. You can tell they enjoy working there and working together. My most recent visit I saw Betsy to add color to my hair. She took so much time explaining the process, showed me all the pink dyes they had, and even mixed them together to get the shade I was most comfortable with. She was patient, listened to me in regards to the look I was going for, and talked to me about what to expect when the color fades and how to preserve the color. Dying your hair a bold color can be scary, but I felt so comfortable and trusting with Betsy and boy did she deliver!

I booked my appointment for 8 a.m.I told the gentleman that I spoke to you on the phone that my hair is very very long and thick and it's going to take a long time to cut he scheduled an 8:45 appointmentthankfully that appointment did not show up until 9 a.m. and he was still working on cutting my hair. He did not even have a chance to blow it out and I feel a little bit over charge since he didn't even blow out my hairso I left with wet hair in the middle of winter and he knew that I was going to be outside hiking for the remainder of the morning. I did end up getting sick since it was 22 degrees out the morning and I was hiking with extremely long wet hair

Terrible consult. Most uncomfortable salon experience I have ever had. Walked out before even getting hair done-thankfully. Grew up in Greenwich, and sadly, this place was a major disappointment. Terrible customer service. Would not recommend.

I have to say- never in almost 25 years of getting my hair colored have I ever had such a strange and unprofessional consultation with a colorist. My hair is pretty simple, need a bit darker root coverage for dimension and maybe a few highlights. This young woman, probably new to the profession, kept telling me the base she could do would turn my hair "orange". She told me, "It will look good when you walk out of here, but after a few washes, it will turn orange..." She just couldn't grasp the simplicity of what I wanted--- root coverage for dimension and maybe a few highlights. The manager needs to help this girl and model appropriate consult strategies, one that doesn't have the customer running for the door. Horrible attitude and disposition. Word to the wise--- NEVER tell a blonde that you might turn their hair orange. I've never had orange hair after years of base coloring. You need to brush up your practices. I dodged a bullet.... Please look at the pic on another Yelp review of the result I got from that same day after going to another salon. Apparently, they were able to get my "vision" and my hair looks amazing! Thanks, to this other salon for your ultimate professionalism and your ability to listen to your client with the utmost respect.

So excited to have my first permanent WAVE decades! It is beautiful, and just what I have been looking for! The owner, Jody Orrico, is a lovely person and a real pro. It's very hard to find people who do curly perms; Jody's earliest pro experience was doing just that. Worth a trip from anywhere. If you want curls, call Jody at Salon 221!

My experience at Salon 221 was was amazing from start to finish! Joe were able to get me in quickly for a special occasion. Joe was-is so knowledgeable about the whole process which made me feel so much more comfortable! I left with the most amazing cut and color.
