“Super cute post office! It's Nostalgic not that I'm 100 yrs old but I know it's part of history and we didn't lose it to a fire or "upgrade" there's just a ton of reasons of why buildings get tore down. I believe they're closed an hour for lunch I didn't go around Christmas but just like any other Post Office through the holidays they're super busy and it looks to be no more than two workers would fit counter/office area”
“I needed to access my on-line banking to complete a payment. The reception in the area is very poor for mobile devices. The post master let me go into the office and use the office computer to access my online banking there. I was surprised. They also helped me find the correct box I needed to fit my item snuggly and offered free air cushions to make sure item did not slide around in the box. Transaction completed with no issues. “These guys have been absolutely incredible in the process of locating my packages. The pastfew years I have moved around the state and dealt with many post offices across Connecticut, and Portland by far cares the most about the individuals in this town.Not sure if they got a new post master or what exactly happened because when I first moved here I was having some minor delivery issues, but they seriously go above and beyond to help people out and they deserve some real recognition for it.Be a decent human when you talk to them- they’re stretched very thin, and still are managing to do their best despite the circumstances. They risk their lives daily to get us our Amazon packages and Time magazine subscriptions. Thank you guys.”

“We moved here recently from Virginia and have been impressed with the friendliness and diligence of the carriers and front counter employees. This is a lovely small town where the carriers are known on a first name basis and they look out for their customers especially the elderly. We are blessed.”
“Kind of small for a post office but I have seen smaller but does it really matter how big the size of the building is they get the job done and that's what matters plus they have Po boxes available for people if they need them and what ever else u may need to send stuff.”
“Received courteous help from Khairul with my passport application. He was conscientious & noticed the form was from 2016. To avoid a delay in processing he suggested I complete the revised 2022 form if I had time which I did. I feel he went above and beyond.”
“This post office is in walking distance to downtown Deep River. Parking can be a bit tough when it's busy. Customer Service is quick and efficient, I'll reserve my opinion on attitude. They offer many services, P.O. boxes, passports etc.”

“I've been using this post office for over years. I came here almost every day to my PO Box . I know those ladies they know me they always waved to meThey like to ask "what are you drive today "they like cars Wonderful customer service, hard working staff, very kind , always get my packages sent and received with no problem. .Everything is well done”
