ALDI in Hamden offers everyday low prices on quality groceries, including fresh meat, seafood, produce, baked goods, and frozen treats. The store also carries home goods and limited-time items. While the selection is solid, it requires some flexibility as certain items are often out of stock or not continuously carried. The prices, however, are widely considered the best and unbeatable. The store at 2300 Dixwell Avenue is kept clean and well-organized despite being busy, with staff frequently stocking. A common complaint is that only one register is often open, leading to long lines, though management has been noted to help when possible. Some employees can be rude. The store lacks bike parking, which is a drawback given its proximity to a busy trail. Shopping options include in-store visits, online orders for curbside pickup, or delivery.
Better prices than other stores. Their products are very good quality. I always find something to buy and try that's not on my list and enjoy eating it. Today I found uncured bacon $4 cheaper than another store I shop when ALDI'S doesn't have it.
