“This store is such a gem! They have so many great products! The food is great! There’s so many natural and organic products and they’re reasonably priced too!”

2979 Whitney Ave, Hamden“If you’re looking for all things cheese and charcuterie, this is the store to go to in CT! They had a fantastic variety of charcuterie accompaniments, meats, cheeses, and even dessert! You’ll find international products, as well as locally-sourced ones, like Luce’s tomato sauce. We had one of their small charcuterie boxes and it was great! So happy to know about this store so we can shop local more often!”
“Great prices, well stocked, and a large variety of fresh fruits & vegetables, with much to choose from. My first stop shopping before the larger chain grocery stores. You'll never go wrong with Price Rite!”

“"Leave your cares behind come with us and find The pleasures of a journey to the center of the mind" (Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes) We confess that we love Italian delis and grocery stores. And we both agreed that the Whitneyville Food Center is as good an Italian deli and grocery store as we have ever visited. When you walk in, you're greeted by long aisles of fruits and vegetables, baked goods, grab and go showcases, prepared salads, deli meats and cheeses, steaks and pork and chicken and sausages, canned goods, pastas, breads and rolls, and lots of grocery items. We picked up 3/4 pound of ground veal ($7.69) for a Thanksgiving Bolognese, a huge 3.5 oz. coconut almond chocolate chip soft biscotti ($3.25), and two deli sandwiches. The sandwiches were on a hard roll and were priced at just $8 each for a pretty good sized sandwich. My Italian Combo had plenty of ham, pepperoni, salami, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and onion on a super sift fresh hard roll. I had half for lunch today and the other half went into the fridge for tomorrow. The customer service was fantastic. The gent in the butcher department was very personable and funny, and the guy who made our sandwiches was friendly and professional. Put everything together, and this was an easy Five Star experience.”

2300 Dixwell Ave, Hamden“Good prices on some products, need to be aware of prices on products at other stores. Do seem to have some keto alternatives that other stores don't have. Usually can find a deal on some sort of protein to make for a meal, helps if you are flexible. Some interesting German goods from time to time. Found some keto friendly protein puffs I've never seen before, going to be a interesting try.”
“My friends and I got the opportunity to dine in at the restaurant today. It was a quiet setting but it’s very cozy. The general tso’s chicken with pork fried rice was absolutely delicious. That was the best pork fried rice i’ve ever had, you could tell it was flavored and cooked with love. Such a bonus that it is connected to the market and you get to choose between a variety of asian snacks! This place definitely feels family owned and I will definitely be coming more frequently and telling more people about this place! 5 Star”
“Best covenience store you can stop for a little of everything Mexican Colombian, etc. Love this place. I would definitely recommend anybody trying to send money to their family or just trying to make a quick stop go visit Eravitacy Multiservice”

897 Dixwell Ave, Hamden“This is indubitably one of the best African stores in Connecticut. It’s a one stop shop for every kind of African and Caribbean groceries. I visited today and was really impressed. The attendant I met was very courteous, and a good conversationalist with the most engaging sense of humor, that I almost didn’t want to leave. It’s family friendly; pretty close to the road, and can be easily noticed from a vehicle in normal traffic. There’s also wheelchair accessible entrance for the differently able. #AfricanStore #Groceries #CT #FamilyFriendly #WheelchairAccessible #Food #Shopping”
“I can't say enough good things about Shoprite Pharmacy on Dixwell Avenue in Hamden . Everyone behind the counter is so kind, friendly and knowledgeable. 280 Circular Ave, Hamden“Gr8 store with friendly employees. The owner and his employees always greet you with a smile. Even if they're having a bad day, the customer ALWAYS comes first. I've never received bad services or products from this store. They care about the customer because they understand without us there is no them. Meaning. No customer, no business. I enjoy shopping here. Whenever they don't have something I want, all I need do is ask, and within a week, the products I buy elsewhere, are now here, usually cheaper too! Love u guys. Thanks for being so close I can walk to and from your store! Thanks for being so generous and kind. I appreciate u very much.”

2335 Dixwell Ave, Hamden“I frequent stop and shop and it is usally a good experience, aside from the deli. I usually use the kiosk because it's always busy. Today i got there and nobody was in line. I waited and the 2 men didn't say anything so i went to the kisok. Then the one guy said rudely, "mam. take a number". The other guy finally came over and took my order. This has happened before. Nobody is in line and they ignore you because they don't want to wait on you. Wish i got his name, i would have reported him, black skinny man with glasses. And why are there so few mini carts????”
“I was stopping to get coffee next door. This place is so MASSIVE, I had to go in. And they did not disappoint. Options galore. Unfortunately, they didn't have what I was looking for. But, I won't hold that against them, I can't seem to find this specific bottle of wine anywhere in CT. I've been to several places all over the state, nobody stocks it. I love that I was able to wander the aisles without feeling like I was being watched or hovered over. The staff was friendly. When I looked a little lost a young man came up to ask if I needed help. As I headed to the door empty handed an older gentleman asked if I needed help. I don't have time today, but I'll be back to wander some more & actually make a purchase. I saw a lot Pinot Noir's I'd love to try. And I want to check out the whisky aisle. In my haste, I did not analyze prices. I'll update after I revisit.”
“Never met anyone quite like Mr. Garofalo the man comes out of his office and stock shelves with his employees he gets his hands dirty just like the rest of us now that's someone i can definitely work for”
