Hindinger Farm is a family-led operation that has extended over generations on the high hills of Hamden. It is a wonderful community farm stand and great farm market with a retail store open May through December. The farm grows 100 acres of fresh, local fruits and vegetables, offering a wide variety of foods plus items sourced from other local farms, making it a one-stop-shop. Other tasty treats include jams, salsas, local soaps, gift items, cookies, pies, and local dairy. The perfect play place for little ones features a great kids play area with friendly and cute goats. Staff are willing to answer questions about how the produce is raised.
Closest family farm to us. As soon as the season opens, we’re there. It’s not only the homegrown produce fresh from the field that attracts us, it’s the farm itself. So, so nice to have in the neighborhood.
