“Stewards Ace hardware is one of the best places to shop. The entire staff are knowledgeable and extremely helpful and friendly. I can’t say enough about this store. If you’re in Clinton stop by and tell them Herman sent you!”
“Joe Anastasio was great from day 1 however the appliances I was more into were out of his area of expertise and he had Stacey F join us and helped us get some awesome pieces into our new home. Everything from delivery, installation and even minor issues they’ve handled with excellent customer service! I would recommend Pages to EVERYONE!! Thank you Pages team!!”
“Doing a job 2 mi away. They had everything I need. There's nothing else around for five miles. They have a little bit of everything. Plumbing electrical definitely carpentry. Trim work framing concrete One-Stop shopping.”
“I'm building a pergola with a friend, and he recommended getting our supplies from this yard because they deliver statewide. The entire experience was excellent—from placing the order to their prompt replacement or credit for a warped or damaged board, no questions asked. This is a top-notch, old-fashioned lumber yard, and I will definitely recommend them to others.”
“My wife and I recently moved to Higganum, CT and just now discovered Higganum Hardware. The owners, two brothers, Taylor and Jarrett, opened the store in fall 2021. While young, they are dedicated to customer service and a huge variety of everything from nuts and bolts to Ben Moore Paints, to equipment...a huge variety of quality hardware goods. I asked them, what encouraged them to open the store...the answer, We looked at what Higganum needed and did not have...a Hardware Store. While we believe in the saying SHOP LOCAL, you also want high quality products, good service and location close to where you live and or work. Higganum Hardware fits all three. Go in once, you will choose Higganum Hardware as your go to store again and again. Simply the Best as Tina would say. Julian”

“The old 'Higganum Feed' was a dump and the people working the same sort you'd encounter at an inner city auto shop. The place is under new management which clearly takes pride in the appearance of the place and the gentleman behind the counter is friendly and helpful. Give it a try and you'll see for yourself. And no, no interest in the place, couldn't tell you the owners name.”
“Great people who really know what they’re doing. They helped me choose the right snowblower, didn’t try to oversell me, and were there for me when I needed help afterwards.”
“BEST HARDWARE STORE IN CT!!!!These people KNOW what they are doing!!!!!!!!Extremely nice, knowledgeable!!!!!!!You definitely will not find this kind of service at a big box stores!!”
“Glad I found this place near my store in Clinton. The service is outstanding. True customer service I was treated with dignity and respect and they have a lot of patience to show me how to use the tool. Thank you. The job came out excellent hope to see you on my next project.”
“Phil does an amazing job. I've been going there for years and I can honestly say that Phil provides the best customer service I've seen anywhere. He's knowledgeable, professional and he goes above and beyond.”
“I was amazed when I arrived at the store, the online reviews were very mistaken. The store was clean and organized, they also have a great selection of stuff. The customer service I also experienced when I was there was great, the question I asked the cashier she was very thorough in answering me and also assisting me. Will be coming back… Best Dollar Tree Ever!!!”
“There are two True Value stores at almost equal distances from my house: Killingworth and Country Paint and Hardware in North Branford. Both stores are well-stocked, and I can almost always get what I need at either one. Floor staff at both are friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. The difference is at the checkout stand. At Country, the cashiers will greet you with "Hi, how are you today? Did you find everything you needed?" They will then ring up your purchases and, at the last, politely ask for your phone number for the rewards program. But at Killingworth, without making eye contact or any greeting, the two usual cashiers bark "Phone number?" and engage you no further. Once you're done, you pick up your things and say to them, "Thanks, have a good day." They don't respond because they are barking at the next customer, "Phone number?" Leaves a bad impression. It takes so little to make a good one.”
